Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Staff is somewhat careless Issue with parking to begin with while using points for the stay. Upon arrival, still had to make sure they knew we were leaving the car. The placard they gave for the windshield did not have the right check-out date so I asked 2 more times since I was worried about it. Finally found out it was wrong and the manager took care of it by comping the parking as well. Upon return from our cruise, I called as directed and was told they would be there in about 3 minutes. 50 minutes later the driver arrives and stops in another place and picks up a family that fills the van. Tells me they called first but only half their party was ready at the time. Had to wait an additional 40 for the van to come back. All together, about an hour and a half waiting at the cruise port with our luggage to get back to the hotel to get our car. I even asked the van driver for the other Holiday Inn that was there to drop off if he could give us a ride and he declined because "they would be upset if they saw him dropping off at our location". Really messed up our plans for the rest of the day. June 23, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by short stay - hotel was clean and comfy - stay overnight at this location was planned at the last minute. we usually choose holiday inn for all of our other hotel experiences so this wasn't too far off from which hotel we would have chosen. although the decision for this location was last minute, reservation over the phone was seamless. our stay was pleasant. the staff were very professional at all times. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Rooms required airing out, otherwise fair stay for price Front desk was short staffed, but friendly when finally serviced us. Walked into room with VERY strong deodorant/perfume smell that wouldn't go away. They offered replacement room but that room had same smell. We opted to open the windows and hope the odor wasn't doing the family any harm. Room was clean but very dated with rusted fixtures - the rooms clearly need to be updated and renovated in this hotel. Lobby was nice. Convenient if you need to be in the core of Long Beach, otherwise you might find better alternatives. Was treated well otherwise and recognized by Priority Club status which is always nice. June 21, 2015
