Good nights stay in Jesmond Holiday Inn. Upgrade automatic to clean and spacious room Dinner in the restaurant was excellent

I chose to stay at this hotel as I was coming up from London for one night to see a band play in the centre of town. I wanted somewhere that was close to the venue and the city centre in general.
It ended up being a taxi drive away and probably wouldn't have been able to walk to where we needed to be, but luckily taxi prices were reasonably priced (much cheaper than that of London).
It was more expensive than I had expected it to be, especially to be there for such a short amount of time. But I don't regret spending that amount of money, as I wouldn't have been able to attend the gig if I didn't book a hotel.
I just wish we had longer to experience more of the city.

I was greeted on check in by David (who was also mentoring a new member of staff - seeing to other guests). My wait was minimal and was checked in very quickly.
Upon check out and I was again greeted by David and raised an issue that I experienced during my stay, I was pleasantly surprised at how David dealt with my issue and I was more than satisfied with outcome and options that he offered. It was down to this service that I did not cancel by future booking at Jesmond and also the reason I am leaving a high rating.
I hope David's service is suitably recognised by the the hotels management, and is rewarded accordingly. He is a credit to the Hotel and as a former Retail manager, I was recommend a pay reward, to ensure he service skills are not snapped up by Holiday Inn competition..
