I checked in on Friday August the 22 my and my girlfriend stay here when we go to a concert behind the hotel. Checking in the stay was friendly and helpful. Once we got to room 225, the first thing we noticed was the room smelled like stale like nobody's been in there for weeks. We just thought the ac my need to run. So we turned it on and left to go to the bar to get a bite to eat then head to the concert. We returned late and tried to get in to the back door, but the key card didn't work. As we entered the lobby no one was at the counter nor was any one in the back. Some kid come out of no where and said Michelle was busy. I stood at the counter for 10 mins. It was 3am and we couldn't get into our room. She comes walking around a corner didn't look happy to help out.
The bed was the worst bed I have ever slept on, the room still smelled the same, as it did when we first got there. I had called down to the front desk in the morning to talk to a manager, there was not one there. I told the lady at the front desk what happened, she said she would talk to a manager. When I check out the lady at the front desk laughed at me when I was telling her my side. And to what the manager said to her to do about the room I felt insulted like my complaint was not necessary.
I have stayed at holiday for the past 3 years and enjoy them, but this one was the worst that I have ever stayed at that night.

Room was cool and got cold when I needed it.

My AC stopped working in the middle of the night which created a sleepless & miserable night. Upon arrival to check in, I was met by rude & discourteous individuals who were at the check-in desk. I will not be returning to this hotel in Odessa. We are club members & I've never been treated in such a poor manner at any IHG hotel. I also witnessed other patrons being treated in a disrespectful manner. What a shame that your hotel will continue to receive many patrons just due to the fact that the demand for rooms is extremely high. Training of your employees & inspections of your rooms could use great attention.
