Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Couple Days I think Holiday Inn has come a long way. I stayed a couple of days for business and the staff was very friendly. The room was very clean. The only downside was the room temperature. When I got to the room it was very hot. I tried to adjust the air conditioner but the dial on the did not provide any way of figuring out the temperature. It was just loose. I finally got it adjusted to the point that the AC would come on and was afraid to touch it afterwards. The AC ran all the time and the room became cold. This is not the only Holiday Inn that I've experienced this problem. The AC units are extremely noisey. July 19, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good value, average hotel I stayed here on a Saturday night as I was driving through for business. The first floor and attached restaurant/lounge were very busy at all times it seemed and was very expensive. The hotel service was average overall. It's an older property, but I was upgraded to a suite on the top floor. It was a very clean, comfortable room, and quiet since it was on the fourth floor. The price was very good for the location, which is why I'd stay here again. I was congratulated at check in for my newly achieved Spire Elite status. I think I was their first Spire member at that location. I jokingly suggested they named a suite name after me, but I'm not sure that happened. Overall, not bad, but not a great hotel either. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst Service by a Manager I have stayed with Holiday Inn for 10 years and never experienced anything like this one. Yes you get a below standard room once in awhile.but never have I had a General Manager pull such a condescending attitude about the condition of their property and treatment of a gold elite member since 2003. Upon check in I had to change rooms twice first room had a indent in one of the beds that obvious was in bad shape. second room door was ajar when I arrived and had a machine in the floor which was later told to me was a ozone machine whatever that is.. finally arriving in a upgrade that had been requested in reservation but ignored(i checked in at 5pm ) one of the comforters had a "stain" on it that was changed only after I request it to be totally stripped. Next Morning I had requested late check out and was sleeping in because of a long business week. and was awoke by the head housekeeper holding the do not disturb sign asking when was I was leaving. I had decided to stay over being exhausted I called front desk where I was told I had to move rooms AGAIN because that was not my reservation when I asked to speak to the manager he began to act as if it was a favor to me that I was in the room I was in when I stated the problems that happened when I arrived and I was not feeling well he still requested moving. it was not because of any reason other than rudeness and a condescending attitude. I checked out and will never give this substandard Holiday inn & suites my money again. July 7, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by holiday Inn in Parsippany,NJ I have nothing more to say, The attached survey says it all. The staff seems not very happy or polite, they seem like the were very complacent.. They are in the customer service industry and definitely needs to be retrained. I felt like I was a hassle to be there. I paid the funds you ask for, definitely didn't feel I got the great Holiday Inn experience. July 4, 2015
