Clean, quite, safe room and location. Friendly attentive staff. I was traveling to Port Arthur on business and would recommend this Holiday Inn to anyone traveling to the Port Arthur area. I will be staying here again when I come back.

As my rating suggest, my stay at the Holiday Inn in Port Arthur, TX was a very good experience. I do not visit Port Arthur often but will definitely use this hotel again and recommend it to others.

musty smell on room floors. poor a/c performance in room: room felt clammy due to room unit not removing humidity from air.

The staff was helpful and kind except for one front desk worker named Tarvia had a very bad attitude and not helpful at all. She did not recognize me as a spire member. Other than that other staff was very nice and helpful. Room was clean and cool when I checked in. I stay here all the time for work and would recommend this hotel to anyone

This is a convenient location for those doing business at the industrial locations nearby. The area is nearby restaurants and other convenience stores. The area is safe and easy enough to navigate to go running; I (female) went on a few short runs (3-4 miles) by myself without any issues.
The staff was friendly at check-in, and I experienced excellent service at the hotel restaurant, even for ordering take out. The food selection and quality were much better than I've found at other locations.
The only thing I will say is that because of this being an indoor/outdoor style property and the humidity of Texas summers, this last stay at this location my room had a peculiar smell when I first arrived. It wasn't terrible, but it was noticeable that humidity had gotten into the room and caused a bit of a mildewy smell. By the third day, this had subsided a bit.
Overall, I plan to stay here again, and I would recommend this property.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Jade7205 I rarely have bad experience with Holiday Inn hotel chain, but this one was definitely the worst one so far.
The room was moldy, The dates AC system runs non-stop, which kept me up, around 3am when I was finally asleep, AC made this sharp noise sounding just like fire alarm, so I had to jump out of the bed peeking through window to check whether people were coming out from their rooms. I saw no one then I called front desk to double check, no one answered the phone. Finally I went back to bed, but could of go back to sleep. Will never stay with this hotel.

This is an older property with some of the typical appearance and facility issues related to it's age. TV was too large for the room and too blurry to view. The Wi-Fi was challenging to connect to and then we kept looking the connection. AC was noisy and mattress felt like time to change. The room charge was, in our opinion, too high for the overall conditions. Stayed the next night at another property, newer, better condition, and $20 cheaper. Like Holiday Inns and will continue to stay there, just not this one.
