Hotel was good. The pool and play area should stay open longer on the weekends. Dinner menu did not have a lot of choices.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by ttuting Great hotel for kids and some really awesome staff.
Some front desk staff were awesome and some were subpar but overall the hotel is a fantastic place to stay especially for families and kids. The pool area for kids is awesome. Very close to the T and very easy to drive to with free parking. When in Boston again, we will be staying there again.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by cs16 Not my best experience - still comfortable
This hotel itself is updated, clean, comfortable. It would make sense if the staff was new...there was a lack of communication with several things. The area is not what I expected. Tavern at the End of the World was within walking distance and good eats and beer. The other suggested dining seemed farther, and I did not have any interest in strolling around the area. Boston may be the "walking city" but this area is not. This hotel seemed to be a good price - you know, nice hotel, not the cheapest but not the most expensive. After staying there, I think it was more expensive than it should have been.

The staff were helpful and the courtesy van is a real plus for short trips.

Visiting from the north, this is a convenient stay while visiting the Boston Children's Hospital. Make sure to ask for the BCH Rate. Hotel is clean and comfortable.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by xMavrekx Great Hotel just outside of Downtown Boston
My wife and I were looking to spend a couple of days in the Boston area. We wanted to be close to downtown Boston. Staying in Boston is very expensive. We found this hotel which is not too far and had a great experience. They offer a free shuttle to within a 3 mile radius. We were able to walk the Freedom Trail, take some guided tours and even watch the fireworks on the 4th. You can take the shuttle to the North End, Faneuil Hall or Charlestown Navy Yard. Boston is a very walk-able city but you can also take the T to many locations. We walked from MIT back to the hotel through Somerville which took about 35 minutes. At night though, there's a section that's very dark, seems shady and goes under the highway. Back to the hotel though, the hotel lobby, restaurant, and room were very clean. The room mirrored the pictures on the website and didn't seem dated/worn out. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, bathroom extremely clean (except for some scratches in the toilet) and no odd/foul smells in the hallways or room. Definitely would recommend this hotel.
