Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by room service overall the stay was as expected. BUT, it took a trip to the front desk(could not get house keeping to answer the phone), to get some one to replace the towels. this is a resort so they don't clean the room daily. in addition , they NEVER get the bottom$ corrected to the original reservation price, it is always a few $ more.(been there before). overall it is a good , clean and easy excess to Disney property. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by 'Comfortable bed and excellent service We liked everything about our room. We did not, however, know that it is a time-share and equipped with full refrigerator, micro, etc. We would have brought milk, etc. if we knew ahead of time. The room cleanliness was not the best, however. The vacuuming was not good. Stuff on carpet and in bathroom. But, the bed was the most comfortable we ever had. I would come again. October 23, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Happy Hoosiers We've stayed at many resorts over the years with our family and individually, but at his one tops them all. The staff was exceptional, making us feel so welcomed and they answered every question and gave us all the information we needed to make our stay perfect. We'd love to come back again! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amenities galore We had 8 people in a 3 bedroom suite. There was plenty of room for all of us, the washers and dryers in the room were a great addition. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed , and if we needed more they would bring it to your room. The pool areas all had something different and fun to offer th family. Best vacation we've had in a while. October 22, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Amenities, but you'll pay for them We used to live in Orlando and have therefore seen MANY resorts as friends and family came in town and stayed at various places.I had always known about this resort so for our most recent trip to Orlando, I decided to stay here. VERY disappointed to find that I had chosen this hotel for the amenities but that everything except the pool had a fee. Tube slide: $9/hr. Putt Putt: $9 per person. Tubes for the lazy river, you'll need a wrist band for that. Actually tried to sell me a $55 per person wrist band so my family could use the amenities without hassle. Really? For that price I can get into a park! If you want a lazy river and a water slide, stay at one of the Hiltons (Bonnet Creek amenities are bigger than Convention) - probably my favorite resort in Orlando. The condo was large, but OLD. This is an older property that Holiday Inn has purchased to make one of its own. We won't stay here again, too many other newer options in Orlando with free amenities. I am a Platinum member, no big deal. They made SUCH a big deal about this upon check-in, took me to another counter ... only to sell me on a timeshare tour so my family could get the $55 per person wrist bands for free. Once I said I wasn't interested the guy's face literally changed from super friendly to flat - he handed me the flyer and showed me the door. October 22, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Extremely clean room with all amenities. Very enjoyable vacation. Kids loved the lazy river. Thanks for a wonderful vacation! October 21, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Make sure you get it in writting I stay in hotels about 5 to 6 nights a week, so i know my way around the business. I came here for the last part of another friends timeshare and me and my wife had reservations at crowne plaza. My wife enjoyed it there and asked if i could change the plans. I went to the front desk the day before our friends left and told them the situation. That we have a late flight out (7:00pm) and that we would like to stay but only if they could accommodate a 4pm check out. They assured me they could. They told me to make sure i called the day before and remind them (they dont know how to take notes?) well when i did they told me i had to be out by 11am (10am is standard check out) I ask to speak to a manger, and no one ever called. Only when i went to his office and sat there in till he finally came back did i finally get some help. Which still wasn't much. He extended it to 1pm. My point of that is, If you cant handle what i request, that's fine tell me and ill keep my original reservation. Next the lady ask the desk said if id talk to someone else the could give us a discount on tickets to the parks (we were going to some so we figured it cant be that bad). We were told it would be 90 minutes long. (better get this in writing too) After 3.5 hours of them not taking no for an answer my wife finally screamed at them and they just got our tickets and kicked us out the front door. Took about 20 mins for a bus to come get us when someone could have easily drove us back to our cars in the golf cart they brought us to that office in. The sad part was me and my wife actually were interested in buying in but needed to check some things out before committing, but after they acted in such a way she said "NO WAY" So if you have a REALLY big family and will save a TON of money buy wasting 3.5 hours, dont do the sales pitch. Try out Undercover Tourist, probably get the same deal if not better, with out the 3.5 hour sales pitch I would avoid if possible October 21, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by problems we had two problems one with the marketing dept. they got us a rental for 559.00(hertz) and when we went to pick up car they had no record that we had already charge this amount and they charged us much more,, and to date (oct 21,) still not settled ..No one is calling be back and I spent 2 days trying to get this finished and cleared up. Also our Villa, the bathroom food had hair on it and the central room had food on floor, never vacuumed. Very disappoint ing. Called and they did clean or said they cleaned bathroom but food not taken off floor, now i wonder if the beds had clean sheets. As an owner not happy October 20, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Complete satisfaction We stayed in a two bedroom, two bath villa overlooking the golf course and lake during our seven day trip to FL. We enjoyed having the patio and being able to watch the wildlife from it each morning. We had egrets and cranes that came up close to our patios and had a raccoon in the yard in front of villa one morning. My husband got a picture of a bald eagle that was perched in a tree on the golf course! It was wonderful to have the washer and dryer inside the villa. Because we washed our clothes every couple of days, we were able to take our laundry home clean! The villa was clean, comfortable, spacious, updated and the kitchen was well stocked, beds were comfortable and there was a jacuzzi tub in the master. We enjoyed driving through the property and seeing the different sections. Because we had 5 day passes to Disney World, tickets to Cirque du Soleil and spent time in Downtown Disney, we didn't have a chance to take advantage of any of the pools or other activities or restaurants on-site. There are many restaurants, shopping and a Publix grocery store nearby. Disney is about 10-15 minutes away. I would definitely recommend this property. October 20, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by not clean we stayed 7 nights and they didnt have even 1 cleaning day for us.....and the room was not very well clean to start with. October 17, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Most Excellent 5th Anniversary of Girls "Group Therapy" Weekend! Beautiful and comfortable accommodations right on the Lazy River. 2 bedrooms and pull out couch perfect for the 5 "princesses". Great food, fun shopping and great price! Highly recommended. We'll be back for sure! October 16, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday Inn???? I'll start with the good point, the room was clean. From there the experience went downhill. I think the bed was new in 1970. I can't remember the last time I've slept on a mattress that bad. For the price I expected a lot more. I've stayed in many hotels around Orlando at this price point and all are 10 times better. I almost always stay in Holiday Inns when traveling and will continue to do so, but don't ever plan on staying at this property again. October 16, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Noisy and no help We were up all night due to noise. We called numerous times and security came, but it still continued. I asked for one comped night as we have stayed there before many times and were staying four nights, but the woman was rude and said no way. We were there for our first anniversary. It was an awful taste in my mouth. The tenants left after the second night, but we didn't bother to call again. Nothing would be done. They had cases of beer outside. We didn't move because they ended up leaving and we were afraid that I think her name was Kathy, would charge us. Last two nights were fine. October 16, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Time at River Island location We stayed in a two bedroom unit at River Island section of the resort. There are many other areas and units. We were on the 1st floor facing the pool area. Quick to the pool, that was a plus! Unit was great, no issues. There were a lot of activities, but most if not all had a charge attached to them. Maybe if you are an upper echelon H.I. member, some of the charges may have been waved, I don’t know. Needing to pay to use an inner tube for the pool not included in the room cost, seems to be pretty petty. Cons: After check in they will try to schedule you for a time share meeting. We said no. The free $20 to spend at the resort just to talk to the time share scheduler was misrepresented and basically useless. It wasn't even worth spending the two minutes to say “no”. Another Con could be the actual size of the resort, it’s huge. Depending on what you want to do, it’s basically a drive to get there or a very long walk. They do offer free shuttle service, but that could take you about the same amount of time as walking. October 15, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Marketing tactics After checking in at Orange Lakes, we were "escorted" to another desk where we were told that we would be eligible for "discounts" at the resort if we paid $50 per person to have access to all the tube rentals - putt putt , etc. I explained that we were not interested. The lady then proceeded to offer some perks if we would do an update tour since we were owners ... I showed her on my phone that my husband has dementia and that we were all tired and would not be interested BUT that we were using a vacation package in February and would be taking a tour then ... a guy then came over and starting asking...well, why not take it now ... why wait until February? The lady backed down after I told her my husband's condition ... once the man knew .. he then proceeded to ask if they could come to our room and make it easier....by then I was pretty frustrated and tired after a 7 hour trip. When does No mean No. I love Orange Lakes but don't like any pressure tactics. We have been members for 20 years ! October 15, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love it here! But, this time it smelled! I'm guessing that they fertilized the golf course the weekend we came. We have been at least 10 times and were so excited this time to finally have a first floor end unit, so we knew our kids could enjoy the out doors easier while the family enjoyed the patio, as we always do. but this time the smell of manure was so strong, we couldn't stand using the outdoor space. :( We Love the pools, atmosphere, staff, and rooms- we will definitely be back but will definitely check things out closer before we unpack and settle in. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good stay We would love to stay again, my wife was pleased . No hassling for timeshare was a plus. October 6, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great resort just avoid the Timeshare tour!!! We had a great experience at this resort! Staff was friendly and the attractions on the resort were great. The only issue was the timeshare tour that we took. We were told that it would take 1.5 hours to take, but when it was all said and done were ended after 4 hours!!!! The tour tried to impress they all they care about is customer service and when it is all said and done all they care about is selling you a timeshare. Avoid the tour and you will have a great time. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great Ressort with High Valvation value ! But...very poor service We had a really nice room - when we get our booked one after one day by five people in a one bedroom appartment. There was no service to clean up our rooms for changing the rooms without any additional charge. We have not been informed that the baggage from the airport arrived so we have to ask three times that the laguage was found in the central room. We really joined the pool area and the great value of offerings to join our stay. We didn't have any more value by being reward club member October 2, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent location and beautiful grounds. The orange lake resort is a beautiful place and is conveniently located to all the main tourist attractions, dining, and stores. The staff left a lot to be desired. When our drier wasn't working they said someone would be right out but no one ever showed. My dad was able to get us up and running again. The pools are amazing and very clean but they dont tell you there is a 48" height restriction on the slides. My 5year old who is an excellent swimmer had a real problem with this as our family had been talking about the pools and slides for weeks. The staff was very rude to him and not the least bit mindful they were dealing with a heartbroken 5yr old. Plus they give you a $20 card to spend but it's worthless. My husband played golf and the course was immaculant but there again the staff was difficult to deal with. The online price was cheaper than if you called for a tee-time. Crazy when you are a guest at the resort. The prongs to the dishwasher were breaking off and the fridge light never worked. Appliances need to be replaced. The unit was pretty clean but places like the shelf at the bottom of the night stand had an inch worth of dust. Overall this is a good resort and I would probably stay there again simply for the conveniance and the beauty of the landscape. October 2, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Frequent visitor This is a great resort and location for a large family to stay together. The two and three bedroom condos are great with little ones. September 30, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not so good this time AS A OWNER I WAS REALLY DISAPOITMENT THIS TIME WITH SEVERAL FACTS. 1-A TERRIBLE ODOR OUTSIDE THAT WE CAN'T EVEN HANG OUT AT THE TERRACE, SHOULD CHANCHE THE TYPE OF MULCH TO ODORLESS. 2- ROACHES IN OUR UNIT 3-DISWASHER IN POOR CONDITIONS 4-STOVE PARTIALLY WORKING 5-OLD TV SIGNAL FAILING CONTINUOSLY 6-NOT ENOUGH TOWELS AND LINNEN TO OUR FAMILY September 30, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by towels need to be thrown out the towels at this resort looks like a rag for your floors. resort fees were not disclosed at check in We will not be staying here again September 27, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by September 20th-23rd, 2013 I am in love with Orlando's orange lake resort. I will NEVER stay anywhere else whenever I choose to travel to Orlando. I had a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom villa in the west village. It was awesome! The entire place was spotless! The villa's come with everything you could possibly need. There is no housekeeping daily but I called once for towels and washing powder and they brought that along with everything else I could need including tissue, soap, dish washing powder, etc. without me asking. The pool in the west village was amazing I laid out on the hammocks for hours. I made plans to do too much and didn't get to check out the entire resort but I know next time to just plan to stay on resort property. September 26, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Pools in Orlando area This was our second visit. I love the lazy river and pools. I find your restaurants to be reasonably priced and the value for the room excellent. The kids enjoyed the pools and miniature golf. Large, clean room and friendly staff. September 25, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful resort! We stayed here for a week in a villa and it was beautiful! Large villa with full kitchen, two bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's a bit of a drive to get to each pool which was unfortunate with small children. Next time we would ask to stay in the hotel rooms that are right next to the pool I think. River Island has the best food and best pool with a lazy river. Delicious dinner especially! September 21, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great atmosphere helpful staff Always enjoy staying here. Great atmosphere and lots of activities for adults and kids. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. September 21, 2013
