Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fun Family Location The 2 Queen Bed Suit was very spacious. We enjoyed the beach and pool area, as well as the arcade! February 1, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Can't go wrong Floating rivers, heated pools, huge condo's, boat rental, jet ski rental, indoor play house..... I took the whole family and not once did they even ask about going to the parks-that's how much stuff there is to do at this place. We were down here for a soccer tournament so didn't have a full free day where it made sense to spend a lot of money going to the parks for half a day (spend $100/personfor four hours?-I have a hard time doing that). We wanted a place that once we got back from the soccer fields we didn't need to go anywhere. This was the spot. We share a three bedroom with friends and there was more than enough room.... Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Spacious rooms; Hard sell staff We often stay in timeshares for their spaciousness, but do not own one by choice. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious and met our expectations. The pools and health clubs were top notch! Cautions: 1. the staff puts a HARD sell on non-owners, with some blatant dishonesty. We had not encountered anything like this in our other timeshare stays, so were caught off-guard. 2. our studio room (non-villa) had ants when we left some boxed (not sealed) food out on the counter. Keep your food sealed or in the fridge. January 30, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by had a great... Check in was a breeze, front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Right after checkout they brought me to the side counter and wanted me to take part in the "time share" offers and meetings. Right away I explained that we were only here for a few days, just rest and relaxation and were not interested in the time share stuff. They politely thanked me for my time and that was that. The villa was excellent, all the space we needed. Grocery store near by let us stock up on snacks and breakfast items. Lunches and dinners were out at the theme parks. The villa was already stocked with shampoo/conditioner/soaps/toilet paper/ etc as well as all the kitchen odds and ends you would expect. There was no maid service for the 5 day stay but there is a washer and dryer if you need. We put out garbage 2 of the days and it was gone by the time we got back to villa in evenings. There was daily telephone calls and messages regarding the time share meetings despite us having told main office that we were not interested. Most calls were late day and we were away but the first day they called early and woke everyone in the villa. The pools were great, not crowded and neat and tidy. Pool temeperatures were fantastic for January. Next time a group of friends are together in Orlando we will stay here again. As for location... it is VERY close to everything Disney but it is a bit of a drive to Universal, Florida Mall, Seaworld, etc. January 28, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very comfortable beds. Beautiful resort with so much things to offer. Three different pool areas, four golf courses, restaurants, tennis courts, trails, arcade, kids activities. I had a reunion with my sister and her family. I stayed on a regular room with a small kitchen, table and chairs. Very confortable and convinient. My sister stayed in the villa apartment. It was wonderful and spacious. Two bedrooms, two baths, full kitchen, living room/dinning room and patio. I was very pleased with the stay and prices. January 28, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A really nice resort... except for the buzzards & sales reps The room was great, but the stay was brought down by the sales pitches to buy a time share and the buzzards! We came to Kissimmee for non-theme park activities. The check-in process was considerably longer than it should be with my Priority Club info attached to the reservation. I think that was because I was being prepared for the hand-off to the first of a few time-share sales pitches. After the hand-off, I was escorted to another desk for the pitch. I had an easier experience as I was asked to confirm tour times, but the other family hadn't arrived, so I couldn't confirm our schedule. We had one other pitch, when I answered the phone, but again I couldn't confirm a time with them. After that, the key was to avoid answering the phone or contact with resort staff. The buzzards on the top of our building and on the course (dozens) in the East Village was a let down. I don't know if Disney has some magical buzzard shield that keeps them on HI's property. During the day time, the smell was quite hard to take. We couldn't enjoy the balcony because of the smell. Take a look on Google Earth and you'll see what I mean! The room itself was very nice. It was quite comfortable for two families. We had plenty of space to enjoy ourselves, without feeling crowded. The space was very refreshing compared to the hotels rooms others in our group were dealing with at other locations in the area. I would probably stay at the resort again, now that I know how to avoid the high pressure sales pitches. The buzzards aren't pleasant, but when you're inside the room, you don't know they're there. Just don't step on the balcony! January 27, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by wonderful resort I was so impressed with the overall visit. The rooms were very clean.Everything was organized and arranged so well. There were phone messages everyday reminding you of activities for the day.The grounds were so amazing it was like living in your own little world you would never have to leave the resort for anything if you didn't want to. Outside resort you are close to everything including Walt Disney World. The water park inside resort was crazy big and the golf course were beautiful . I will stay here again no doubt about it. January 27, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Amenities, Close to WDW Fabulous place to stay, very close to WDW and Universal Studios. Did not take advantage of al the amenities at the resort, but will plan to return and spend more time next time. Was not happy with the sales pitch to obtain discount tickets. Was promised presentation would last 90 minutes. Made myself perfectly clear I was not intereseted in purchasing anything, just wanted discounted tickets. Presentation lasted 2 1/2 hours almost 3! Would have paid full price for tickets had I known. If you are short on time, skip the presentation. January 26, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Misery to listen to time share. Broken light, coffee maker and remote Don't get roped into the time share talk. It was 3 hours and even with pleading I couldn't get the Pakistan guy to hurry up. Even said my husband was getting high blood pressure and he kept us. the room was stuffy and had 3 broken things which were fixed within 24 hours. But when you are tired and the coffee pot, the remote and the bed lamp were all broken it seemed like a long time. January 25, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DIdn't want to leave We arrived early (like 5 hours) (after driving 18 hours) before check-in, yet the wonderful woman at the desk got us into our villa early. AND it was a villa with no stairs (which I forgot to ask for. We were running a marathon, and it was important that we not have to climb anything for a few days afterwards :-). The villa was perfect, spotless and right on a lovely golf course. We had 8 people (4 adults 4 kids) and there was more than enough room for us all. Ample parking, towels and dishes too. Everyone we spoke to was polite and well informed. The only feedback I have is I hate the sales pitch calls, but that's a side effect of a time share I guess. I never saw the pool, but my family did, and they loved it! We added an extra day to our stay and were told we might have to move from the big villa to a smaller one. Nope, got to stay in the big villa for the extra night....outstanding! The villa was peaceful, there were Sandhill Cranes out our window in the morning. We never heard the other guests. I'd stay here again in a second, in fact I didn't want to leave..... January 25, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Dissapointed 2nd trip 1st stay was in Tennis Villas, Great master bath and . washer, dryer in unit. 2nd stay, (most recent). Expected same floor plan, very dissapointed in unit. No Golf Chanell in unit in 2nd stay and we are in Orlando ! A significant disapointment January 24, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great for Families We stayed only two nights without a commitment for a sales pitch for time share. We had stayed the previous four nights in a very large hotel prior to Orange Lake and were delighted with being able to pull up to the door and being able to spread out and what a luxury that kitchen was. Every detail was well thought out from the dishwasher detergent to the Bath and Body Works products in the bathroom. We had considered returning to this property in the summer but do not want to waste time having someone try to sell us a time share. We want to relax without the pressure. January 23, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Bring your wallet On the surface, the resort is very nice. The villas are large and somewhat modern. Tube TV's in the bedrooms, but they have a washer & dryer. No maid service daily! The big things that bothered us were: * Constant calls, trying to sell us property on-site * You want to putt-putt, ride the lazy river or the water slide? There is a charge for that. * Print out your plane tickets in the business center? There is a charge for that? * Expecting perks for being a Platinum Member? That's not going to happen. We had construction a lovely view - of the parking lot. #notawesome The biggest issue we had was renovation work going on directly above us. They were scraping either wallpaper or carpet - starting at 7 AM. Woke my two kids up, which made for a long day for the wife and I. January 23, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent resort I always stayed at a regular hotel while visiting Orlando, Fl. 1st time staying at a resort and loved it. I will never stay at a regular hotel while in Orlando. The property, pools, room, & staff were just great. Lots of activities to do and never had to leave the resort. January 22, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by unexceptable Upkeep on property was not up to par.Too many problems to put into words. January 21, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome experience! We really had an excellent experience staying at Holiday Inn Vacations Club at Kissimmee and we're thinking on staying again for Christmas this year. We really enjoyed lazy river at River Island and the 2-bedroom villa we took was very clean and stocked with all amenities. We definitively recommend this resort. January 21, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Everthing you need I was so pleased with my stay 2 years ago I returned again. I have found it a great place to stay while spending time at Disney. My daughter and family were visiting from England and it was a great place to spend time together. January 21, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Place to Visit! With families from Georgia, Tennessee and Hawaii, totaling eight, we thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at your huge resort. My grandchildren and us adults thoroughly enjoyed what you all had to offer. We only had a few days to spend there but the time spent was well worth it. I only wish we had more time and was there during much warmer season.. At least they did get to swim in January! Thank you for existing and helping to make my children and grandchildren a vacation to remember. They are already talking about going back to your place! The convenience of your location to Disney World is outstanding and it's really not that difficult to locate. January 20, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Check in process With this being our first time using our vacation property we were very excited to see what the process would be. We had been traveling for a few days, being in NYC/NJ for a wedding and let our check-in person know that, we were tired and just wanted to check in. He took care of us and then brought us over to another counter, letting us know that this next person would be taking care of us. Again we were thanked for being platinum guests over and over. Well we let them know that we were owners and the whole check-in process came to a grinding halt. The guy asked us what were our plans and where we had been and where we were going and what we were going to be doing. This was FAR TOO MANY questions for two VERY TIRED guests. Then we were asked if we had taken the tour and been to The Founders Room. We said no, and that we just wanted to go to our room and rest and that we had to be up very early to attend the Disney Marathon which was the purpose of our visit. Well this young man was not taking no for an answer, which may be fine for your marketing standards, but it REALLY left a bad taste in our mouths. When we thought we had finally convinced him that we HAD NO TIME to take the tour, he excused himself to go in a back room, and brought out his MANAGER!! Both of these men kept asking about why we could not fit this into our schedule. We are the customers and really shouldn't be badgered like this! Well, by now we had both had it and quite frankly had to be a bit rude and actually lean over the counter at these two men to stress our point, of wanting to go to our room and relax. This whole process really put a damper on our stay!! And quite frankly we believe we deserve an apology. We have been Holiday Inn Guests since we were children (The Nations Innkeeper) and now as adults have made the decision to purchase into the vacation club....Not a nice welcome. January 20, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful resort My family and I never stayed in a resort atmosphere before...what a wonderful experience. Orange Lake Resorts is beautiful! We stayed in a was roomy, clean, beautiful view and close to Disney world. I would definetely recommend this resort and I hope to be able to go back for another stay soon. January 19, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Always a Great Experience We have stayed at OLCC at least four times if not five. Each time we have been very happy with our experience. Each person we encounter is friendly and very customer service oriented. The villa is always clean and tidy and all appliances work as they should. We will keep coming back until there is a reason not to do so! January 19, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Terrific grounds and accommodations I really missed having daily maid service as most hotels in the area provide. The location was also not as convenient as I was always driving several miles to the east for Disney, Oldtown, and many of the stores and restaurants that I often visit. My other stays in the area have also included free shuttle to Disney. The accommodations and the grounds were terrific. January 19, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by From Disney to here for great experience We have stayed on Disney properties for 29 years visiting Walt Disney World. Our last visit before this was at The Animal Kingdom Lodge so we could have a kitchen and larger play area for the grandchildren. We chose the Holiday Inn just to try it out because friends wanted to stay there and had a limited budget. Let me tell you, we will be going back! These are like individual houses with a yard and driveway. They are very spacious and clean and we enjoyed them. We stayed for a week and there was rain and cooler weather so we did not get a chance to go to the lazy river or pool, but they looked nice. This is a gated community with golf courses, but the course we were on was like a par 3, so I didn't play. January 17, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Just like home I stayed in a 2 bedroom villa for New Years 2012-2013 with my whole family. It was a great experience. The fact that the villa had two separate bathrooms was great. The kitchen was really comfortable, big rooms, cozy living room and patio made us feel just like home. I definitely recommend it for parties of 4+, either friends or family. January 17, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful family time We had a wonderful time with our family. It was our first vacation with my new son-in-law and my daughter. They loved the resort. We needed to take a trip to Miami to visit another family member we had not seen in a long time. I thought the kids would have liked to stay in Miami for a while, as soon as our visit was over they were excited to get back to the resort! I had a wonderful massage at the pool and we really enjoyed the quietness of the location. Of course there are always things that need attention, the t.v., the alarm clock, the bathroom fan, etc. but such minor things hardly impacted us at all. We are looking forward to our next visit. Thank you to all the staff and employees that made our visit so enjoyable. January 16, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great location, but... I've been to Orange Lake before because my sister was once an owner. It had been many years since I had visited, but it was pretty much the same as I remembered. The resort is beautiful! It's close to all of the things that you could possibly want to do as far as theme parks and other attractions. However, I came here thinking I would be able to buy discount park tickets. I was wrong! There's a catch. You would need to sit through a sales presentation where they try to get you to buy a timeshare. I was not having that! I had someone trying to convince me as soon as we checked in. We had an early morning flight - we were tired - didn't need someone irritating me more. We also got calls to our room after we declined - Ugh! Very annoying! Just want to relax and enjoy. The morning of our check out, we too had housekeeping try to enter our room BEFORE check out time. I had our door chained so they could not come in, but really? How dare you come and try the door BEFORE check out time??? When we came out of our room, I was approached and asked if we were done by housekeeping staff. Unprofessional and rude! They must do better. January 16, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Rip off This place charged for everything. Rooms were not cleaned. There was a discussion among staff if clean towels were available or not. I left some clothes and called before anyone else had checked in. My clothes are still "lost". The pool area and hot tub were great. Good family place and inexpensive considering it's near Disney.
