Overall, I had a great experience--clean rooms, friendly hotel staff, nice beds...Not a lot of bells and whistles, which I didn't need.[Less]
Business in NYC
I chose to stay at the indigo Chelsea due to familiarity with the brand (I have stayed at Indigos in London and Madrid) and due to its location. Price was also comparable to other more traditional[More] IHG hotels (Holiday Inn) in the area so Indigo seemed a better value.
The hotel layout is typical cookie cutter NYC hotel built over the past 15 years. Decorations are nicer than a Holiday Inn but not as nice as those in its sibling hotels in Europe.
No free water even as a Spire and $5 bottled water in room (I did choose points as an amenity at check in and there is a drugstore nearby).
While overall I would say this is a nicer hotel than Holiday Inn / Express nearby, this Indigo is not as much of a step up vs. the other Indigo properties I have tried.
There is a rooftop bar which seemed popular but I was unable to try.[Less]
Always make me feel special
I would repeat stay and love all the properties I have used.[Less]
Good hotel, just dated
The pictures on the website make the hotel look very modern and chic.
It's quite dated but other than that it's a great hotel and the staff are awesome.[Less]

First Trip to New York
This Holiday Inn in a good location for getting to Central Park of times square by foot. There's plenty of nice restaurants near by (we really like the Irish pub and the Afghanistan restaurants) The[More] rooms seem large for a New York Hotel. The Hotel itself seem to have alot of traffic going through its hotel lobby and many suited up bell boys having chats between themselves and not offering much in the way of help to customers wasn't sure if they were bell boys or security in the end! Lots of elevator issues always very slow. Overall a cheap place to stay, if your going to be walking around alot and just using the hotel to crash in at night then its a good choice[Less]
Hotel was in a convenient spot to places to eat, have drinks, and subways stations. My overall experience was great.[Less]
