Great experience in between Old and New Montreal
By cozybk
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It is located directly in between old and new Montreal in the center of Chinatown. A large number of shops and restaurants are virtually adjacent to the hotel. It [More] was easy to walk to Old Montreal or the waterfront in the morning and St Catherine Street in the evening. I fortuitously arrived at the beginning of a ComiCon convention and in the middle of the Montreal Jazz Festival -- perfect timing. [Less]

Great stay

Having made several trips to Montreal to attend the annual Jazz Festival, we decided to avoid the hassle of staying in the city, paying exorbitant hotel fees and extra for parking, especially since [More] we always purchase Metro passes anyways. The Laval Holiday inn provides an equivalent level of comfort as the Montreal hotels at a much more favorable cost AND it is only a few mile (er... kilometer) drive to the Montmorency Metro station (the Metro brings you within a few blocks from the Festival). We'll definitely consider this option again for future trips to the Montreal area. [Less]
Cleanliness and great service
By Tyra2016
I like how the rooms are so clean and love the staff at the reception who always greet us very warmly. I do feel there is a lack in regards to the restaurant as I am not a fan of La cage aux [More] sports, but this is a minor detail as there are many restaurants in the area. I found the price very good as it is close to transit and a shopping centre is in walking distance. All in all and I would recommend this hotel. [Less]

Fabulous experience and excellent staff!!
By mommarig
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel right from the minute we entered the lobby. We were greeted by Amber, who was both friendly and knowledgeable. Everything was organised including having [More] our two rooms side by side which was an important detail for us. Our rooms were ready, we were given our keys, was given a great explanation of the amenities AND given directions and a map to the St. Jean base. If you are going to St. Jean for anything to do with the Canadian base, this is the place to stay, VERY easy to get around. We truly appreciated the full bilingualism of the staff, as not everyone in our party spoke French. Great assortment of breakfast items and not the same every day. Thank you for a superb experience!!! [Less]
