Featured Fort Myers Hotels

Unwind at our Holiday Inn Express® hotels in Fort Myers. Before you know it you'll be relaxing in the sunshine on Fort Myers Beach and sipping a cocktail at sunset.

Fort Myers has been drawing winter-weary visitors for centuries. Our hotels in Fort Myers are near the sprawling Edison and Ford Winter Estates, where the two inventive men relaxed in the sunshine by their in-ground pool-a new invention at the time-and conjured up ideas in their laboratory. The Caloosahatchee River runs past both estates and the Calusa Nature Center, where tidy boardwalks wend through lush palms and swamps. Park visitors can spy fishing egrets and lazy alligators among the mangrove trees.

Start your Florida evening with a citrus juice cocktail and live music at bars in Fort Myers Beach and nearby Sanibel Island. Expect a musical mix of calypso drums, Jimmy Buffet's laid-back hits and maybe a few Bob Marley tunes. Our Fort Myers hotels are near waterside restaurants that buy the catch of the day from Gulf Coast fishermen. Fill up on generous plates of fresh ahi tuna, grouper, shrimp and crab paired with crisp vegetables grown on farms in nearby central Florida.

Stay at our Holiday Inn Express hotels in Fort Myers and enjoy the best of the Gulf Coast's beaches. Take off your shoes and walk through the warm sand just minutes from our Fort Myers hotels. Miles of golden sand stretch as far as the eye can see and the calm Gulf of Mexico waters are ideal for swimming. To the west, Sanibel Island's seashell-rich strand draws beachcombers, and a lighthouse from 1884 makes for a perfect Florida photo-op. At day's end, both beaches make a great spot for watching the brilliant sunset sink behind the Gulf.

Very pleased with my experience.
By JDL6660
I am the Executive Director of a North American Association, and I travel quite a bit. I actually came to this hotel to "audition" it for my members and also for the possibility of holding our [More] conference there. I am pleased to say that it met and exceeded my expectations, and plan on contracting with the hotel provided we can work out the details. **I also loved the tv remote in the Ziploc bag. You never think about how nasty those things can get! [Less]
Great Service
The staff was very accommodating and the hotel was very clean [Less]
A very nice place to stay
By Hook's Mrs
This is a very nice facility with friendly staff and comfortable rooms. It would have been helpful, though, to have bars to hold on to when getting in/out of the tub/shower. On Friday night, the [More] lounge/restaurant hosted live entertainment and pasta. Very nice, if you want to socialize. Since my 90-year old mother was accompanying me & wasn't interested in that scene, we ordered a meal via room service. To order, I spoke to an answering machine which gave instructions to place my order and requested delivery time. I did. After an hour, I contacted room service again, again got the recording, and decided to cancel the order because I didn't know whether they had even gotten the original order. If room service isn't going to be available, the message on the phone & at the front desk should say so. Sorry for the POOR rating for Food & Beverage. [Less]
Overall good property- beds need upgrades though
By heatherval3
This hotel has a great location close to lots of shops, restaurants, and really cool bars. This was the first time I stayed in the Cape Coral area and I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel looks a [More] little dated from the outside during the daytime, and I was disappointed my Platinum status didn't get me a room upgrade, even to a king bed. The front desk agent I spoke to over the phone told me they only have 7 king rooms and not a single suite on the entire property and I got stuck with a double queen room. They did put me on the 5th floor, which is the top for this property, and it had a little balcony and was pretty quiet like I wanted. The bed, however, was EXTREMELY uncomfortable, rock hard, and springy. This is probably one of the most uncomfortable beds I've ever seen in a Holiday Inn Express. The room otherwise was clean, the property was clean, the parking lot was well-lit at night, and breakfast was the typical mediocre selection of Holiday Inn Express dry bacon and pre-packaged stuff I'd rather not eat. Coffee was decent. Staff was alright, but no one went out of their way to be overly nice. It also would've been nice to get a complimentary bottle of water or something rather than need to go to a vending machine that required singles or coins. [Less]
Service at this hotel was great.

We were visiting friends and decided to stay over the weekend. The hotel was quite and the staff is very friendly. There are several restaurants close and a Perkins Restaurant is next door. We will [More] stay here again in the near future. [Less]

Small rooms. Mattresses uncomfortable. Very clean room and property. Nice pillows. Restaurant fairly priced but food quality is average. Overall a good value and would stay again. [Less]
Overall great experience.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn Sanibel Island. Beautiful clean facility. Front desk staff was very helpful. Enjoyed gathering shells on the beach. [Less]
Great location
By wanderlust54
The location was excellent, right on the beach. Beach chairs were available on beach. Small pool area but meet needs. Great service at Tiki bar but prices were a little steep. Happy hour prices [More] seemed reasonable but we went outside those hours. This is a motel and we were able to park our car right outside our door which I appreciated. Rooms were clean and had a beach ambiance. No carpets in room to wipe feet so tiled floor was a little sandy even after wiping feet off on front door mat. Dinner at resort was good. We were first customers of the day and service was great. Again, location was great. I wish we could have spent more time here. The only thing that disappointed us was that the sunset on the other end of the island. [Less]
