Featured Savannah Hotels

Make our Savannah hotels your base for discovering the gracious charms of this remarkably preserved antebellum city, where it costs little to appreciate the beauty of its historic district and sample the Low Country seafood.

The sun-dappled, tree-shaded boulevards of Savannah are yours to explore when you stay at our central hotels in Savannah. Elegant mansions drowsing under silvery Spanish moss sprang up during the region's 19th-century cotton boom. Impeccably laid out around a grid of 21 green squares, this Georgia port city has the largest National Historic Landmark District in the United States. Don't miss the Owen-Thomas House, an English Regency gem from 1816. Tour Mercer House, the decadent mansion that starred in the best-selling book Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. Slip into haunting Bonaventure Cemetery, where gardenia blossoms sweeten the air. If time is limited, hop on an Old Town Trolley tour of the historic district.

Proximity to the sea means restaurant menus are stocked with fresh local seafood. When you stay at our Savannah hotels you can dine on sweet creek shrimp simmered with grits and country ham or plump oysters roasted over an open fire. Sample "hoppin' John"-a regional specialty of smoky rice and peas eaten for good luck on New Year's. Walk off your meal on a breezy stroll along River Walk on the Savannah River. Savannah's old cotton warehouses along River Street have been fashionably converted into restaurants, bars, and nightclubs. You won't have to dress up to join the party, however; Savannah's laidback lifestyle carries over into evening. Stay in one of our Savannah hotels, and settle in to the leisurely pace.

Book a stay in our Holiday Inn Express® Savannah hotels and discover a city drenched in Old South atmosphere and genteel charm.

Great Sleep Quarters
By Mercurykid
The stay was quite good. I slept well and was refreshed the next morning. The desk staff was quite pleasant and helpful. My only concern was the breakfast provided and the staff providing the [More] service. -The bacon tasted as though I was eating raw salt. -The turkey sausages were tasteless. -The two ladies providing the service were constantly chattering about personal problems and issues, loud enough for patrons to hear (at times too loud). -Quality of the food was ok. Exactly as it should be

Good, clean, easy--just as you'd expect from a HI Express. This hotel is about 20 minutes from the historic district, but is about half the price of downtown hotels on weekends. A great value! [Less]

Pls see comment in previous paragraphs. We had problem with our lamp and requested service in the afternoon, however, we did not get the replacement lamp until that evening. We requested instructions [More] on the A/C because we could not get the thermostat to work. A staff member showed us to change the temperature at the floor-unit, however, this still did not work. If we got cold we had to turn the unit off and when it got hotter, we had to turn it back on. That was the only problem we had. Thanks [Less]
My stop on the way to Florida
By Flash66
This is my 2nd time staying at this hotel. Savanah is about as far as I want to drive on my way to Ft. Lauderdale and I like this hotel for the close location to I-95. There are several restaurants [More] close by. Check in is fast and staff very friendly. Rooms clean and comfortable. I will continue to use this hotel for any future trips to Florida. [Less]

Good experience but for the$ a complimentary sweet roll and coffee would have been welcomed. The lady in the restaurant was very nice and helpful. [Less]
Top Notch Staff
By Grammyof13
We were very happy with our stay at the Holiday Inn Savannah Historic District. The staff made the biggest impression on us. They were not just courteous, but were very friendly and personable. The [More] hotel was very up to date and attractive. The front desk was more than willing to help with any requests we had and the dining staff remembered us and what we drank. Everyone went out of their way to greet us and to make sure that we were comfortable approaching them. [Less]
Great place to stay. think something was going on, that's why price was up. Over all would stay again, but book earlier. [Less]
Clean/nice hotel, unexpected expenses and intrusions
The hotel is very nice from the recent renovations. Overall it was a relatively good stay. The room was clean and quiet for the most part, although we were on the 2nd floor with the gym and the ice [More] machine, so we heard some people coming and going a little bit when we first arrived at 9 p.m. However, I did not appreciate learning upon arrival that the parking garage was an additional charge upon my already arguably steep room fee. The room rate would be reasonable if it included access to the parking garage. Instead, I elected to park on the street, which although free, is not as safe, especially given the hotel's relative proximity to a somewhat declined part of town. I also did not appreciate a cleaning staff member attempting to enter my room at 9:30 a.m. while my significant other and I were still trying to sleep. The cleaning staff should obviously not be entering a room until they have been notified by the front desk that the guests have checked out. [Less]
