We have experienced many hotels over the years, but Holiday Inn Express is consistent no matter where we stay. And that is a great positive!
Which is why we were very surprised at the lack of
friendliness of the young man behind the front desk. At check in, he barely smiled and refused eye contact.
Throughout the whole process, he was definitely unfriendly and unwelcoming.
We have never experienced that type of reception at any Holiday Inn before, so it was quite surprising.
I'm going to assume the young man in question must have had a horrible day, or something occurred that made him closed off.
On the flip side, the lady who took care of breakfast, more than made up for the unfriendliness at the front desk. She smiled, made eye contact, asked how I slept, if I was enjoying my stay, and if there was anything she could do to help out. Definitely a great asset to your hotel!! [Less]
