comfortable bed and great service
everyone was so friendly and helpful. they volunteered information and help everytime we ran into one of them. donovan on the front desk was especially friendly and helpful. also, we were provided a[More] buffet breakfast every day for our stay with road scholar. the food was good and the food mostly hot when it was supposed to be and cold when it was supposed to be - except for the potatoes one morning . one other hotel in the past had miserable food but yours was invariably well prepared and good.[Less]
Staff was excellent in all areas. Accommodations clean and comfortable.
Restaurant food expensive and awful. Crab cakes had no evidence of any crab. Shrimp in shrimp creole was mushy frozen shrimp[More] and creole sauce not appetizing. Sandwiches at lunch were sub-par.
Hotel very good. Find a better place to eat.[Less]
GREAT LOCATION, FRIENDLY STAFF
The hotel is well-located in the business district, an easy walk to the French Quarter and away from the late-night noise of Bourbon Street. Great access to the Garden and Warehouse Districts by the[More] St Charles streetcar which passes right in front of the hotel. The staff was uniformly friendly and helpful and the room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast buffet was of high quality, had lots of choices, including made to order omelets. Hotel will be our first choice on our next visit to New Orleans.[Less]
Excellent Room and Staff; walls a little thin
Our experience at the Intercontinental was generally very positive. The room was well appointed and comfortable. I also enjoyed using the fitness center on the top floor. The staff was helpful and[More] knowledgable, referring me to a fine French pastry shop in the French Quarter. The only significant downside was the fact that the walls were a little too thin, a problem we find with many hotels. There was evidently a young family with a baby right next door, and the baby woke me up (despite ear plugs) around 5 AM on Sunday morning. We also heard noise from the hallway late at night. If we return to N.O. and stay at the Intercontinental, I would probably ask for a "quiet situtaion" if possible, away from neighbors likely to make noise.[Less]

The staff is fabulous and very helpful. Their recommendations for eating were all very good and our favorite was Cafe on the Square--less than 2 blocks from the hotel.[Less]
I stay at this location when I travel to New Orleans for business. I enjoy my stay whenever I stay here.[Less]
Stayed there over Nov 20-22 and had a great stay, Hotel staff was spot on.[Less]
The Holiday Inn West Bank was an awesome hotel! It was perfect for my family since it was not right in the center of the city, but close enough for a quick drive.
The staff was extremely attentive,[More] helpful and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this property and stay here again.[Less]
