Put off by the prices of Boston hotels, we originally planned to stay in the outskirts and take the train in. However, at the last minute, I found this hotel and it was affordable enough that we were
able to stay within walking distance of our event.
There were one hiccup: the first (totally my fault) was that I was sucked in to a third-party reservation center accidentally, thinking that I was booking through the hotel's reservation desk. After calling the Holiday Inn reservation center directly, though, I was confident in my upcoming plans.
We loved that the hotel was in walking distance of some great restaurants, a grocery store and parks for the kids to run. The pool looked great but we didn't have time to use it, and the restaurant was a nice alternative from the free-for-all complimentary breakfasts some competitors offer. Yes, we paid, but the kids were free so that was a nice touch too.
I loved that our suite had full windows overlooking one side of the hotel and a smaller window in the corner with another view. And honestly, with kids, a suite is the way to go and not much more money.
Overall, great hotel and we would happily use it again in our travels!! [Less]
