After a grueling day of driving on our way to Weatherford Texas to visit our daughter and family, we were tired, frustrated and had missed the turn to Tulsa, where we had planned to stay the night.
Normally we stay at a well known hotel, but it was getting dark and we were desperate and would take most anything. I was on the verge of tears when my husband said "look over to the right...is that a Holiday Inn Express" ? It was aways away, but the blue and green neon gave it away and we headed straight for it ! Thankfully they had a room for us, despite the late hour and a lobby full of high school soccer players ! When we opened the door to our room, all our troubles drained away and we enjoyed a nice relaxing evening reading and watching tv. We had a lovely breakfast and were on our way, refreshed and ready for a new day. The only snafu was when I showed my rewards card, the clerk could not find it, but said she would keep looking so we could get to our room. An hour or so later, she called me and said she had found me, but the number was different. They got it straightened out and all was well. The pillows are amazing and we were told they are for sale at any location, so we WILL be buying a few closer to home. [Less]
