Featured Pittsburgh Hotels

The City of Steel has blossomed into a cultural hot spot with delightful neighborhoods, world-class museums and art galleries, and eclectic shops, restaurants and cafes - all worth exploring during your stay at one of our Holiday Inn Express® Pittsburgh hotels.

Pittsburgh's downtown Golden Triangle area is the cultural and economic heart of the city, housing both the central business district and acclaimed performing arts scene.
The city's hilly landscape and unusual layout make it difficult to get around on foot, so if you're staying in one of our downtown Pittsburgh hotels, you'll be pleased to know that you can work and play within steps of your hotel.

Spend an evening listening to classical music at the Pittsburgh Symphony or in the stands cheering on the Pittsburgh Penguins (2009 Stanley Cup winners).
The Strip District, with its bustling open-air markets, offers a truly unique shopping experience - one we hope all of our Pittsburgh hotel guests get to try - while historic Oakland is popular with tourists for its variety of restaurants, universities and museums.

Speaking of museums, Pittsburgh has them in spades, and the world-class Carnegie institutions are a must-see during your Pittsburgh hotel stay.
The Museum of Natural History has excellent paleontology and geology exhibits, while the Museum of Art offers both classical and contemporary selections.
If you're traveling with the whole family in tow, you'll find the Carnegie Science Center and the Pittsburgh Children's Museum are great ways to spend the day.
Finish up with a picnic in Highland Park and a visit to the Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium, and the kids will never want to leave.

Looking for something more edgy and less family friendly?
Pittsburgh can accommodate your needs too.
Stop by the Andy Warhol Museum for exhibits on the Pittsburgh-born artist's life and a stand-out collection of pop art, then peruse the large-scale contemporary pieces at the famous Mattress Factory.
Once the sun goes down, you'll want to hit up Pittsburgh's popular night spots.

Southside offers lively bars, dance clubs and local concert venues up and down Carson Street.
You'll also find great coffeehouses in this area, perfect for grabbing a caffeine pick-me-up on your way back to your Holiday Inn Express Pittsburgh hotel.

Nice Hotel with Loud Rooms
By dododo2468
Loved this hotel. It was new, clean and nice. The rooms were great. Really dark at night. My only complaint is that my room was right next to the highway. I was jolted awake each night by a loud [More] semi-truck passing by. Aside from that, it was great. I'd probably stay again for the price and the convenience. [Less]
Comfortable bed and great service
By bugman64
The rooms were clean, well stocked and comfortable. The only issues I had were the pool was small and the water looked like it needed to be changed or treated. And in the work out room you could lose [More] the towel desk and put in a bench for pressing. [Less]

Great place to stay in Monaca
By SSVacation
This was a fantastic place to stay. The breakfast bar was constantly attended and nothing ever ran out. This hotel had the friendliest front desk staff that welcomed you every time you walked through [More] the door or said goodbye as you walked out. The rooms were comfortable and a great value. I would definitely stay here again. [Less]

repeat stay as good as first stay here
By anniebuff
This was the second time I stayed at this hotel. It was an excellent selection for the night--good location for being near the place we wanted to go the next morning. It is a clean, brightly lit, [More] excellent hotel. As per usual the breakfast is not like homemade, but it is adequate for a one night stay. We did have a minor problem in that the wake-up call came 20 minutes after we requested it. Made us a bit late for getting to the outlet sale for which we went to this area. Be sure to set you alarm on your cell phone if the wake-up time is essential to you. [Less]
