Featured Williamsburg Hotels

Colonial America lives and breathes in the beautifully restored and re-created 18th-century city of Williamsburg. Stay in our Holiday Inn Express® Williamsburg hotels and immerse yourself in the sights, sounds and flavors of 1770s America.

The heart of Colonial Williamsburg's 300-acre Historic Area is a living-history village where the industry of colonial life is re-enacted on a daily basis. Listen for musket shots in the distance as horse-drawn carriages clip-clop through cobblestone streets. Skilled tradesmen forge iron in the Blacksmith Shop and bind books in the Printing Office. The impressive brick Capitol building lies at the end of Duke of Gloucester Street; this is a likely spot to see revolutionary "firebrands" engaging in passionate street-theater scenes. Festive balls were held in the opulent Governor's Palace before the British were driven out for good in 1775. From our Williamsburg hotels, it's a short drive to Jamestown, America's first permanent English settlement, and the Yorktown Battlefield.

Enjoy a colonial-style meal in one of the restored taverns in the Historic Area, a short drive from our hotels in Williamsburg. At Kings Arms, Chownings or Shields taverns, sample such hearty 18th-century fare as meat pies and braised venison. Drink it down with a stout ale, much like the ones favored by the founding fathers. You can take home the beautiful crafts you see made in the shops, from handcrafted leather to willow baskets. Or hit the city's numerous outlet shops near our Williamsburg hotels, the biggest of which is Williamsburg Premium Outlets. You can spend the morning in an 18th-century bubble and then shop the afternoon away on 21st-century bargains.

Book a stay in our Williamsburg hotels and travel back to a pivotal time in American history, when the country was in its infancy and revolution was in the air.

I would stay here again. Plenty of places close by to eat and stay was good. [Less]
Staybridge is the best suite in the Yorktown Area
By Laverne70
The suite is just like being at home. Living area comfy as well as the bed. Kitchen has everything needed and the bath towels are wonderful. We will always stay there. [Less]
You know we adore you guys!
By lvn4life1
Kelly and the crew that work at the Staybridge in Yorktown/Newport News are awesome! This is our second trip in less than 5 months and once again we weren't disappointed! Wonderful room, spacious, [More] comfortable, and always accomodating to our needs (my flight landed at almost midnight and I was the last check in but the evening clerk was awesome and ensured me that my room was secure!) . My better half and I refuse to stay elsewhere! Thanks again and Im sure we will see you again (look for us by next spring :) ) [Less]
Great Value in an excellent location!
By nhzero
Excellent service at check-in, and friendly housekeepers on the 9th floor! Gorgeous views, and fabulous walking accessibility to local Hampton University and other downtown Hampton locations. The [More] decor is showing a little bit of age, but it's clear that the staff really cares about their hotel. The only critique I could think about making is that the catered food used canned vegetables instead of fresh. If you're looking for a great value to stay in Downtown Hampton, this would be the place I would recommend! [Less]
Great Place to Host Meetings
By WFIguy
I picked this hotel sight unseen based upon a referral. I was pleasantly surprised by the property setting, next to a harbor and easy to get to off the Interstate. I was very pleased by the comfort [More] of the room, the meeting room and the staff members were all great, and very supportive for all of us during the three day meeting. My company impressed our visitors because of the hotel and the very good food prepared for us. I will use this hotel again when there is something to schedule in the Hampton Roads area. [Less]
Stay at Hampton Marina

All was well; that is the reason I stay only at the Crowne Plaza when I am in the area. [Less]
Excellent value for money
By Mr J
I had stayed in a much more expensive "luxury" hotel the night prior to this and had to pay extra for wifi (which wasn't particularly good), parking and coffee. At the Holiday Inn, all of these [More] things were included in the very reasonable room cost and all were much better than at the other hotel! Will always be staying at Holiday Inns when I can in the future! [Less]
Great value and close to attractions

Working in williamsburg
By Michael B 29720
I was working in Williamsburg for about a month, the staff was excellent, Andre, Melissa, Chelsea & Molly also the other gentleman on night shift that were on the front desk were extremely friendly & [More] helpful when asked for direction or advice about the area. The staff was very knowledgeable . Mario was very pleasant & very friendly with a great attitude & smile everyday.Hamid & Othaman did a great job in the dinning room area. Rebecca was helpful with all my concerns & pleasant to talk with. Everyone there was just pleasant to get to know & a blast to talk with. The stall was very professional & accommodating. Anything I need was provided & the staff went above and beyond. The hotel was in a great location to all the restaurants & other attractions on Richmond road, not to mention close to Colonial Williamsburg and the outlet stores. This is an older hotel that has some charm to it but the real charm is the staff. [Less]
