Featured Williamsburg Hotels

Colonial America lives and breathes in the beautifully restored and re-created 18th-century city of Williamsburg. Stay in our Holiday Inn Express® Williamsburg hotels and immerse yourself in the sights, sounds and flavors of 1770s America.

The heart of Colonial Williamsburg's 300-acre Historic Area is a living-history village where the industry of colonial life is re-enacted on a daily basis. Listen for musket shots in the distance as horse-drawn carriages clip-clop through cobblestone streets. Skilled tradesmen forge iron in the Blacksmith Shop and bind books in the Printing Office. The impressive brick Capitol building lies at the end of Duke of Gloucester Street; this is a likely spot to see revolutionary "firebrands" engaging in passionate street-theater scenes. Festive balls were held in the opulent Governor's Palace before the British were driven out for good in 1775. From our Williamsburg hotels, it's a short drive to Jamestown, America's first permanent English settlement, and the Yorktown Battlefield.

Enjoy a colonial-style meal in one of the restored taverns in the Historic Area, a short drive from our hotels in Williamsburg. At Kings Arms, Chownings or Shields taverns, sample such hearty 18th-century fare as meat pies and braised venison. Drink it down with a stout ale, much like the ones favored by the founding fathers. You can take home the beautiful crafts you see made in the shops, from handcrafted leather to willow baskets. Or hit the city's numerous outlet shops near our Williamsburg hotels, the biggest of which is Williamsburg Premium Outlets. You can spend the morning in an 18th-century bubble and then shop the afternoon away on 21st-century bargains.

Book a stay in our Williamsburg hotels and travel back to a pivotal time in American history, when the country was in its infancy and revolution was in the air.

By Team21
Great location to conduct business. Lots of restaurants in walking distance to enjoy a drink without driving. Great breakfast. However, the hotel should open breakfast at 0600, not 0630. [Less]
Stay at Newport News Yorktown
By KLG4
I highly recommend this hotel and I plan to stay here whenever I'm in the area. I truly appreciated the responsiveness of the front desk staff to accommodate my needs to extend my stay after having [More] checked out, showed up at the airport, but had my flight cancelled due to a storm. I was even able to return to the same room I had been staying in. From start to finish, the front desk staff was highly professional and accommodating, to include allowing me to conduct an early check-in on my initial day. [Less]

Nice location in Hampton

Location on the water is nice. Staff is friendly, parking convenient, rooms are clean, with comfortable beds, and breakfast is good. All around a good value in Hampton. [Less]
Out dated but nice staff
This was my third time here and I must say the rooms and food is very challenging but the front desk staff is amazing. Most hotels I stay I never see any management but the front desk manager Opel is [More] always there you can tell her staff love her how they speak of her. Latrevia has a smile that will brighten up any day and she always say "my pleasure" and it's not for show. The other lady Carnethia is a true southern bell. I really enjoyed my stay. I will be back in March [Less]
