I have been using this hotel for almost a year now and at the start it seemed to have very high standards and be extremely good value.
Sadly, I seem to have been watching this go into decline over my regular stays.
This is a very busy hotel with 19 floors and needing it's three lifts but for the last two weeks the third lift has been broken and causing frequent delays to guests. I have many examples of failings but I won't bore you with them.
Staff are extremely friendly and willing,on the whole, but we seem to frequently suffer issues with breakfast: scrambled eggs you could resole your shoes with, toasters that barely warm the bread and breakfast frequently not ready for the 6.30am start, and night staff, who always check me out, not being suitably trained and always busy with other things such as printing documents and helping (or not??) with breakfast.
An experience of this in mid September saw me having to wait for a copy of my bill until after breakfast as they got themselves in such a pickle that they couldn't print it??
I have today discovered that they managed to cure this problem by charging the bill to my credit card twice, which seems to prove my point!!!
Luckily, my credit card company are sorting this as I can't face a discussion with the hotel.
Overall, this should be an extremely convenient hotel, in a great location with lovely staff but what I am seeing is a distinct lack of leadership, which is a shame.
Needless to say, after many frequent visits, I feel that this weeks has been my last.
