This hotel has a great location close to lots of shops, restaurants, and really cool bars. This was the first time I stayed in the Cape Coral area and I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel looks a little dated from the outside during the daytime, and I was disappointed my Platinum status didn't get me a room upgrade, even to a king bed. The front desk agent I spoke to over the phone told me they only have 7 king rooms and not a single suite on the entire property and I got stuck with a double queen room. They did put me on the 5th floor, which is the top for this property, and it had a little balcony and was pretty quiet like I wanted. The bed, however, was EXTREMELY uncomfortable, rock hard, and springy. This is probably one of the most uncomfortable beds I've ever seen in a Holiday Inn Express. The room otherwise was clean, the property was clean, the parking lot was well-lit at night, and breakfast was the typical mediocre selection of Holiday Inn Express dry bacon and pre-packaged stuff I'd rather not eat. Coffee was decent. Staff was alright, but no one went out of their way to be overly nice. It also would've been nice to get a complimentary bottle of water or something rather than need to go to a vending machine that required singles or coins.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by BrendaKay47 Service at this hotel was great.
We were visiting friends and decided to stay over the weekend. The hotel was quite and the staff is very friendly. There are several restaurants close and a Perkins Restaurant is next door. We will stay here again in the near future.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by suellen903 could have been a much different experience
If the staff was friendly and even smiled once, the experience would have been much different. From the gentleman who checked us in at night to the woman who "cleaned" the breakfast area in the morning, the staff we encountered was borderline rude. There was no smiling, no friendly greeting, they barely looked you in the eye. The woman who was responsible for the breakfast area looked miserable and was putting off a "do not speak to me" vibe. When she wiped the tables, she pushed all of the food/crumbs onto the floor! The floor was disgusting and made me not even want to eat there. The carpets appeared new but were completely covered in eggs, toast, etc so I am sure they will be ruined very soon. I would only recommend this hotel if someone was staying for a night and got a great rate. Room walls were paper thin and we could hear the tv of the people in the next room and hear them coughing all night.
