I believe our stay to be a little expensive,it will put us off from staying again and would aim to find an alternative hotel. Also do not appreciate having to pay for parking when staying in the hotel, especially for the price paid.

I have been using this hotel for several years as i have a Dr Who fan in one of my kids and we make a yearly trip to Cardiff in order to visit the Dr Who Experience. The hotel has courteous staff who gave us a friendly welcome on arrival. The family room was on the first floor and was clean and tidy, all lights worked and the heating/ air con functioned fine. Only minor moan is a lack of storage space for a family of 4 but we coped.
From the window we looked across one of the old docks, traffic noise was minimal. Breakfast was a buffet affair which was ok but the single bread toasting machine was a bit tricky to set at right speed and a queue would form as it was rather slow, a second machine would solve the problem. Our window had cobwebs on the outside and at night you could watch spiders busily building them. Overall i recommend this hotel as good value for money and we will no doubt return for another weekend next summer.

I use Holiday Inn Express all the time for business travels and this is the first time for pleasure. Taking my grandson to the Dr Who experience so needed a family room; it was smaller than rooms I have had elsewhere for me alone. We could not easily get to the window. But as it was only one night I didn't fuss and the staff were wonderful, which made up for everything. I was also shocked at the price; it was the most expensive holiday inn Express I think I have stayed at
