Rated 1,0 out of 5,0 by Don't stay here if you want a nights sleep We have stayed in Express by Holiday inns before and have been happy. We were breaking a journey and needed a good nights sleep. This hotel is on an industrial estate and as you approach the building there are huge articulated lorries parked everywhere. At 4.20 AM the first of the lorries started up and roared away and this continued until 6.30am.The double glazing in the rooms is not sufficient to cope with the noise and further sleep was impossible. The staff were excellent but the owners are aware of this problem and have done nothing to further soundproof the rooms or to warn potential customers. I will be complaining and asking for my money back. The lack of sleep is both annoying and dangerous to travellers 12. Oktober 2014
Rated 4,0 out of 5,0 by Another good nights sleep. Excellent stay as always. The rooms are always very clean & tidy, the staff are also very welcoming, & the beds are very comfortable. Plenty of choice from the breakfast menu, so whether you want a bowl of cereal or a full cooked meal, you will not be disappointed. The free Wi Fi is also a bonus. If you choose to have your evening meal in the hotel, again, you will be very pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the food. I use this hotel on many occasions & would happily recommend it to others. 12. Oktober 2014

Rated 4,0 out of 5,0 by Take your own hot drinks for the breakfast This is the second time we have stayed at HIG Doncaster, and this is the second time the hot drinks vending machine has broken down. Last time staff went out there way to help, this time for one member of staff it was too difficult. The younger member of staff stepped in and found a sachet and there was hot water. Message is - don't expect too much in the way of drinks for breakfast - the orange juice was also watered down to be undrinkable. But saying all this I would still very much recommend this IHG. 23. I have been staying here for well over 8 years now and I have never done a review before but I belive the people who work here deserve the recognition. The staff at this hotel are excellent and really care about the customer. Many a time I have requested something that is over and above what they need to provide and they always come up trump. From the people that welcome you at reception to Paul who cooks the steaks ( and by the way a great value steak at that) House keeping in the morning etc, they all go about their job with a smile on their face and actually make it a nice place to stay. I have a choice to stay anyway in the area and I always stay here as they give me the 5 star treatment and treat me like a VIP. I do observe that they try to give everyone the VIP treatment if the customer will let them. I will try to mention them all by name and if I have missed anyone off it is not intentional. So from Joanne the boss here goes Gemma, Nicky, Steve, Elena, Kerry, Daryl, Cath, Dave, Charlotte, Andy, Tracy, Muhammed, Laura, Paul, Scott, Jim and Chloe. Keeep uo the great work you are an example and a credit to the Hospitality industry!! 23. September 2014
