A good example of a competitive midrange hotel. Average amenities are well executed. Staff is friendly and attentive. Breakfast was above average for this type of stay. Diner next door has nice food, amazing variety, reasonable prices, and very convenient hours.
A/C was all or none. Difficult to maintain a steady temp. I didn't try to play with it and just left it off.

I've stayed at many Holiday Inn Expresses and I can tell you that for a suburban New York HIE, the rooms were very cramped. My wife and I had no place to put our toiletries kit and the towel bar in two different rooms was broken. No closets, only a small wardrobe. Even the breakfast area was cramped, but the staff was extremely nice and polite. If it's just one person staying in a room, I would definitely stay here again, but not with a family of four.

The fitness center weightlifting machine had only a v-bar to use with it. I made it work for a back, shoulder and bicep workout, but it was cumbersome. If there were other items available to use with the weightlifting machine, there was nothing posted in the fitness center or in the facility book in the room to indicate this.
