Over the years HIE on 17th Street has become our Pre/'Post Cruise hotel. The location, staff, and property cannot be beat. We stayed pre-cruise and then returned 21 days later and Everett, at the Front Desk, was waiting for us, like welcoming family. He was able to get us into a room expeditiously so we could begin to enjoy our stay in FLL quickly.
To our dismay, the air conditioner, in our room, was not working when we were settling in. A call to Everett, and Chuck was there in a flash and fixed the problem.
We had an early morning flight after checking out, but there was coffee waiting for us in the lobby, for the ride to the airport.
We will surely be returning here to stay pre/post our next cruise.

One of my basic requirements when staying at a hotel is cleanliness and this hotel exceeded this. The front desk staff was amazing and accommodating to our group. Would absolutely stay there again when in the area.
