Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Hotel Option in Fort Walton Beach Have traveled to the area for years. First time staying at the Holiday Inn Express on Mary Esther Cut Off. This will be the only hotel I stay at in the future if I am not looking for a beach property. The hotel is so clean. I could not believe how often I saw the young man in housekeeping cleaning some part of the public areas including the elevators. Very impressive and he was very nice as well. Breakfast was one of the best complimentary breakfasts I have experienced in terms of variety, freshness, and presentation. They even have an automatic pancake machine. The female attendant who was there daily with the blond hair did a great job in making sure the buffet was fully stocked and she was very pleasant to the guests and wanted to make sure everyone was happy. Class Act!! The only negative in my opinion was the Fitness Room. All Cardio, no weights or mats that I saw to work out with. Nice pool but did not use. Business Center is ok but useful if you need to use a computer or print anything. Front Desk Staff were all very helpful. Lovely King Suite, very spacious, comfortable and functional. Well done HIE. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Clean room, comfortable bed, convenient location Typically do not choose Holiday Inn Express first due to my preference for being on the beach when in this particular area. But the Mary Ester HIE came well recommended my fellow business associates and since it was convenient to my destination I decided to give it a try and I'm glad I did. The Inn facility is fairly new, it is modern and the rooms well maintained (everything is in order and works properly), clean and with all the normal amenities and accommodations we've come to expect, Internet (didn't use), ironing board, HDTV, frig, and a stylish well lit bathroom. A pool and fitness room were also available but I did not have the opportunity to use them on this trip. Overall, in a single sentence, a comfortable, well appointed room, an abundance of features and quality service for the money. December 21, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Greatest front desk service I'm sorry I don't have the name of the front desk attendant. I arrived at the hotel around 7 pm. the attendant provided excellent service. Even before I arrived at the hotel I called and asked him about restaurants near the property. He broke it all the way down to what I wanted to eat, quality, distance from the hotel, and convenience for my direction of travel. His choice of sushi was excellent. He didn't even ask my name for all that service. Once I arrived at the hotel I found him to be dressed very professionally and interested in my feedback about the restaurant. He offered me the customary snack or points, to which I selected points. I mentioned I had not been offered the points when I stayed the night before in Destin. he told me not to worry, he would call Destin and have it corrected. He did! Amazing young man, great representative, and even better customer service ambassador. He behaved as if he was managing his own hotel. I truly hope he gets recognized. Thank you. November 21, 2015
