Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by mother - daughter get away My mother and I received tickets to Andrea Bocelli. He was performing at the Holiday Bowl. We were in the right hotel for this trip. We were able to walk to and from with ease. The beds were so comfortable, its what we have come to expect with Holiday Inn Express. The staff was friendly and helpful and so polite. Especially the ladies in the breakfast room! Our trip was great and the hotel was perfect. Great location!! June 19, 2016

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by A+ location, Not a good representation of a Holiday Inn Property The location is great, just around the corner from lots of tourist attractions. I can not say enough about how very friendly and helpful the staff were. Everyone was great from arrival to departure, including reception, valet, and breakfast area. The hotel itself is in need of a very thorough cleaning and some remodeling. It is an older hotel, but that should not hinder the owner from making some updates. Carpet was very loose didn't seem to be attached to the floor and had multiple stains, lampshades were cracked, blood splattered on wallpaper in bathroom, moldy areas in shower, mattresses "creaked", and I noticed several large "bumps" in the floor. "Bumps" appeared to have been in concrete, possible settling problem. I noticed two in our nice size room. We stayed here using our annual free night otherwise I would have cancelled our reservation and stayed somewhere else. Hotel is extremely overpriced. This place could be fabulous, it just needs to be fixed up. Old/ historic doesn't have to mean run down and left to rot. Again I can not say enough about how great all the staff were or how awesome the location is. But I would not stay at this location again unless it undergoes some serious cleaning, and preferable some updating. Also we were able to park our car at the hotel, for a fee, and enjoy our time in Hollywood prior to checking in to our room. We didn't check in until after 8pm, plenty of time to get a clean room.
