Rated 2,0 out of 5,0 by DennisinPA Unacceptable Housekeeping Staff Performance
I stayed at this hotel with my family Friday night 4/26 through Monday morning on 4/29
General customer satisfaction experience = 2 of 5
- Front Desk Staff = 5 of 5. Stacy on the day shift was great! Nick was also very helpful.
- Breakfast offering was well set with a nice variety and good quality.
- General hotel condition = 4 of 5
- Housekeeping staff performance (very poor) = 1 of 5
a) We needed to ask for fresh towels daily despite clarifying what we needed on the first morning of our stay. We needed four daily. We were provided ranged from two to zero.
b) The bathroom was notably not cleaned at all during our stay.
- Minor annoyance = TV remote control volume did not work well.

Rated 4,0 out of 5,0 Fresh food!!
Did not like the plastic undersheet sheet on the bed
It is very uncomfotable I had to remove it.
The breakfast needed more fresh food.
Some fruit(tinned is acceptable) and tomatoes would be appreciated by
clients who are trying to improve their health.

Rated 1,0 out of 5,0 by CRM2 Awful Housekeeping Staff and Organization
I have stayed at this location for many years and have found the atmosphere, condition, and staff to be declining. While during this stay, two of my coworkers had unclean rooms, dirty sheets, used soaps still on sink, wires hanging out of walls, unfinished plumbing, and unswept floors, my room wasn't bad. However, I booked for a week beginning March 23 for business. I brought my family along for this trip and on March 25th decided to check out and move to a competitor for the first time in 7 years due to the attitude and actions of the head housekeeper and the disorganization of the staff. I have been a loyal Priority club member for many years and have had good experience all over the country until now. I highly doubt if I will ever be willing to suffer staying at this location again just to keep the points rolling in. I hope things change at this location as many of my co-workers have complained openly about the cleanliness and staff here.

Good news is that this Holiday Inn Express is renovating the interior of the property. New furniture in the rooms, new carpeting, new curtains, etc.
Bad news is that they started putting people in rooms before the construction was completed and they did a QUALITY check on the room.
TV remote control ... no batteries, then when I got the batteries, only controls the volume not the channels.
Tissues ... not in room
Hair dryer ... could not get to work
Hot water ... at the scalding level ... i imagine they upgraded the Water Heater in the hotel ... but the hot is much too hot. Someone should have tested this out first.
Suitcase rack (so it doesn't have to sit on the floor) .. not in room
Refrigerator ... now housed in a cabinet ... cuts down on the noise ... nice ... but somebody didn't do their homework. The cabinet door opens on the left, the fridge opens on the right. So you have to clear away everything on the floor to open the cabinet door all the way so you can get to the fridge. Not a big deal. Just demonstrates a lack of attention to detail.

While I understand that when a hotel is under renovations may not have the greatest service or amenities, this was beyond that. First I arrive as a Platinum member and did not even receive a bottle of water, much less recognition for being Platinum. Room was booked with micro-fridge and neither was in the room. Renovations started in the morning at 7am, with lots of noise. Improve customer service, and I may consider staying here again.

Rated 5,0 out of 5,0 by winterberry Milford Hotel is Like a Home away from Home
we have stayed at the Milford Holiday Inn Express many times in past few years and have always felt right at home. The staff is very nice and attentive...and the manager is always available through email to attend to our personal needs
now that they have a floor JUST for priority members its even better

This hotel is a complete mess and not even close to what a Holiday Inn Express should be. The lobby was completely torn apart with debris everywhere. The front desk wasn’t operational; you had to check-in in a small room down a hallway of the first floor. The front desk staff (Manny) was incredibly rude and not helpful. I was told I couldn’t check-in when I arrived; he offered no explanation or reason, nor did he offer an “I’m sorry.” I had to roam the disaster of the lobby for about fifteen minutes before I could check-in, again, no apology. The hotel didn’t acknowledge my Platinum status or offer an upgrade, I’ve never been at any IHG hotel that doesn’t at least acknowledge your status, even if they cannot offer an upgrade.
I went up to the second floor and the hall was a disaster! There was sawdust/construction debris all thru the halls, including a path of boot prints thru the hall. The dark carpet in the hall had two (2) huge bleach stains on it and looked really awful. The room (Rm 231) was freezing; it seems housekeeping turned the heat completely off and it was about 20 degrees outside. The room itself was gross. First, it wasn’t cleaned well. There were “water marks” on the faucets, tub handle, and shower rod. There was a large discolored stain on the wall near the A/C. There was a huge, black mark on the light-yellow bed skirt. A face cloth also had an obvious stain, something that couldn’t have not been noticed by the staff. There was also a long, black hair on the bed (I don’t have long or black hair.)
The room itself was in total disrepair. The old, ugly wallpaper on the wall was peeling back at every seam; it was old and showed the age. The bath/tub mat was frayed and thin. The bath towel hung above the tub was torn and ripped. The coffee maker was dirty and had residue in the coffee pot.
As if the hotel itself wasn’t bad enough, there was a group of young kids directly across the hall. The noise was insane. The screaming and yelling and slamming doors... absolutely insane. And the hotel was obviously not that busy (just by looking at the nearly empty parking lot) so there was no reason to group the clearly loud children near other guests. I didn’t even go thru the ordeal of voicing concern to the staff – after the rude service at check-in I knew there was no point because they would have ignored it. Really bad stay Holiday Inn Milford – you should have done a lot better.
I didn’t use the WIFI or stay for breakfast. I left early the next morning, just to get out of this hotel. I’ve stayed at a lot of Holiday Inn Express and other IHG hotels, they normally do MUCH MUCH better. I’ve stayed at a Holiday Inn Express near an airport that was quieter and a Holiday Inn Express in the downtown area of a city that was cleaner. This hotel really has no redeeming qualities. They have an old, dated hotel. The rooms weren’t clean nor were they maintained. And the staff was clearly disinterested in guest service. Though I understand hotels need to renovate from time to time, if your lobby is going to be a total mess and your rooms not up to par then close the hotel to renovate; there is not excuse for subjecting guests to that.
I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone, for any reason. No matter why you travel, a friendly staff and clean rooms are important. This hotel has neither. Pick another hotel – in fact there are two other national brand hotels directly across the street!
