This was a return visit, and we left unsure that we would return for another. We slept well, we showered well, but the room was crazy small -- very difficult for 2 people to move around at the same time, and we're not overweight -- and the real plus of Holiday Inn Express -- breakfast -- was a complete disappointment. First, the hotel staff made no effort to put up barriers to block the wind or otherwise make the Great Room warmer. Second, breakfast closed about 15 minutes early each day. On Sunday, the heating elements were turned off and warm food trays left sitting empty for more than 15 minutes. For the most part, front desk staff seemed like they didn't care. Housekeeping staff were excellent and hustled. Located right off 5th Ave., the hotel is close to theatres, shopping, etc.

Rated 3,0 out of 5,0 Small rooms Good location
We were 3 in the room, there wasn't enough space for the luggage.
I asked for a larger room and was told there were only 3 in the hotel that were unavailable.
Since you offer complimentary breakfast I think you should have a larger space in order to accomodate the crowd gathering at peak hours, having to dispute the chairs and tables.

Very happy with the cleanliness and breakfast. A little crowded on Sunday morn, but the food was very good as it was free. Free 24hr coffee is nice. Elevators were fast. Rooms were quiet. Had party of 9 with 3 rooms. all were happy. The shower head and hot water were excellent. TV had awesome selections. and was nice big size. considering the small nature of rooms in Manhattan, I can't really complain about the lack of bathroom shelf space. No BUGS! No dirt to speak of. Clean sheets for sure. Only 6 rooms per floor, so was quiet in the halls. Good temp control for the room. Everything worked OK. Coffee pot in room worked well.
