Everything about the Holiday Inn Express in Oakland (vicinity of the International Airport) was exceptional (i.e. front desk positive attitudes and willingness to meet all our requests/needs, room comfort and cleanliness, hospitable and quality cleaning service, free Wi-Fi, quality and comfortable bed/pillows, breakfast quality and variety, whirlpool, business suite, shuttle service to airport, etc.). Very impressed with positive and caring demeanor of every employee at this hotel. Hotel parking safe and clean. Hotel close to all attractions. Overall, this is one of the best places I've stayed at. Highly impressed.

This Holiday Inn Express is great if you need to leave on an early morning flight and want to leave your car. The hotel is well-maintained and my experience with the staff was very positive. There's no pool, but I only needed a clean bed. This was business travel, not a vacation. The lot is not gated, but it looks like they have security around to keep an eye on things, and the rate for the room and parking is a killer deal. I would highly recommend this location.

The hotel was great, close to airport. Staff were really nice and helpful. Shuttle to airport was great. The area surrounding the hotel was questionable though.

I was traveling by myself and happy to be staying in a safe, comfortable environment. The mattress and pillows were among the most comfortable I've ever experienced. Great night's sleep!

First of all, the staff is terrific, the room was quiet and comfortable and the breakfast was nice.
However, as a frequent traveler, hotel television, in general, is inadequate. (I originally used a word for what a vacuum cleaner does, but was edited). As I was saying, this hotel television was the worst, as I couldn't even change the channels to find unpleasant TV. "Inappropriate" word again edited out) Old habits die hard, but maybe it's an iPad and Netflix for this old dog!

It was a very restful stay. We especially appreciated the night managers personal touch. He remembered us by name and remembered our special dietary needs.
