We arrived after dark and a long day of driving. Called ahead from car and lady took care of the reservation over the phone. Priority card was in briefcase, but she was able to retrieve the account number from the infor I gave her. Room was clean and comfortable and TV operated quite well. Only one bar of soap, but water pressure was good, towels were nice. Breakfast was excellent.

This HIE has great location between Panama and Mexico City, away from the commercialism of Panama City Beach! Great staff and nice amenities!

I am giving an average review because I found a dirty hand towel (not a hotel towel) in the room. This gave me doubts about the bed sheets in the room.

We are Priority Clients and have stayed in HEX hotels World wide.
You would think that when assigning a room this would influence the room allocated.
In this case the room was what we would expect in the interior and the standard facilities we expected . The room looked out to a brick wall and the windows were small and exposed a small tar paper roof. On either side and above this short wall we could see palm trees.
Later we found the pool at the rear of the property and realised that we were in the only room in the rear of the hotel that did not have a full size window and a view of the pool and surrounding area. The roof was for the dining room extension and the wall was decoration. .
I talked to the receptionist on the desk and she was unaware. We had booked days ahead, the hotel did not seem busy so why not allocate the best room to your frequent users. Priority Club membership should have more meaning in small matters that could increase client satisfaction.
