I have only problem with their shower heads. So far which room I stayed, all shower heads were leaking and bottom of bathtub stays with full of water. Do they never check their shower assembly? Other than, it is a fine hotel for the price!

You know - often the people running a hotel can make all the difference.
As an H.I Express priority club member, I am disappointed to report that my experience at this location was not good. The facilities were just fine, the room was clean and up to date. It was the most I have paid for any H.I Express room, yet the area (Salinas) is most definitely NOT worthy of this pricing - so, poor value.
More disappointing - my check-in front desk personnel, who did not complete normal check-in procedures for a priority club member. Sorry Gabriel you just didn't get it done!
The following morning at check-out, the front desk personnel was so busy checking off paperwork on the front desk counter that he couldn't even look up to greet, or say Thanks for staying with us. I didn't get a name as he was hunched over the paperwork in front of him, but I'll bet he was the manager of this hotel.
I did receive good service from Paul, who a few days after my stay, helped retrieve a receipt for my records - Thank you Paul!
I recently stayed at the competitive hotel right next door (my client chose the hotel). You know - I've got to say they blew you away H.I. Express. Hmmm, makes me wonder...

If you are looking for a restless sleep, aggrivating noise from within the hotel from the paper thin walls and floors then this is the property for you. I travel 2 - 3 times per week with business, stay in dozens of Holiday Inn Express properties around North America and noise wise this property gets a "10" with this hotel chain.
On a positive note, the front desk clerk was very polite and friendly as were the cleaning staff.

This was a very enjoyable stay. The rooms and common areas were pristine and clean. The furnishings are modern and well-maintained

I stay in quite a few hotels throughout the year and this was my most favorite stay yet! Not only is this my favorite hotel chain, this was the BEST experience I've had. From the friendly guy at the desk (who had my key, etc. ready upon arrival), to the fresh smelling and clean room, to the comfortable pillows.....Holiday Inn Express is no doubt the best value with great customer service! And, it's easy to get on-line on my computer..... :-)

When is Salinas I will come back and stay in this hotel.
Very clean and the hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. After I checked into my room, the tv remote would not work. I contacted the front desk and the gentleman immediately offered to fix and eventually changed my room to accommodate me. After that, no issues and the breakfast the next morning was good with a varied selection of items.

It is such a pleasure to be welcomed so warmly at arrival after a long drive. Typically, the person checking me in, sees me coming and has my keys already available to streamline the process. I'm usually tired and ready to crash in the comfortable bed. The breakfast in the morning is perfect too. I would highly recommend the Salinas Holiday Inn to anyone traveling for business and/or pleasure. I stay in many hotels over the year across the state (and at times, other states) and this is my favorite! :-)

We use HEI all the time. We usually have in a suite: the desk with a chair, an easy chair with footstool, a small table a second chair. That small table and second chair make it possible to have a simple meal in a comfortable way. The refrigerator and microwave encourage this.
There was no table and no second chair. The suite we had had a lot of empty wall where one would have expected these to be. We asked the desk clerk if there was some mistake and he said no that is how they all are.
The indoor pool was wonderful. The shower is broken and looks like it has been broken for some time. Nevertheless, the pool is really nice.
