Rated 4,0 out of 5,0 by friendly and attentive staff. upon arrival we were greeted by friendly, happy and attentive staff. The rooms was clean and tidy and well equiped. Reception staff were helpful to our needs and it was even them, who bought us up a further quilt when requested. They even called up to our room and our evening take away delivery arrival and supplied plates and cutlery. they even cleaned away all of our rubbish and plates when we had finished. Breakfast service was good and attentive even though the hotel appeared busy. Would definately stay again as this was my second visit in ten months 19. August 2014

Rated 5,0 out of 5,0 Excellent pit-stop Folkestone to Glasgow is a bit of a hike, not made easier on this occasion by a 2 hour sojourn on the M25. Anticipating the need for an overnight pit-stop, we had elected to explore the delights of Stoke on Trent and booked the Holiday Inn Express there. Good move! From the moment we arrived until we left the next morning after breakfast, everything about the hotel punched way above the weight you might expect for a "budget" brand. Pleasant reception staff, excellent quiet room, good bed, really good choice at breakfast - including real OJ, all conspired to ensure that we left for the second lap of our journey in good form. Rated 5,0 out of 5,0 by Alton Towers Trip Had a very pleasant say at the hotel, staff were very pleasant and helpful. Good choice of breakfast in the morning with no queing. The only downside was the beds which were very uncomforable, non of us in the party seemed to sleep very well, duvets were very heavy, with air-con and heating in the rooms they could downsize the weight easily!! 18. Rated 4,0 out of 5,0 Great Service and Clean Room We stayed overnight so we could go visit Alton Towers over 2 days. The staff were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I really like the fact that a microwave is available at all times. Thats a great feature for families with small children who need to warm up milk. In fact the milk is available 24/7 as well. The room was clean as was the bedding and the ingenious use of the bathroom door to double up as the door to the toilet, though not sure why you would want to see the person in the shower. Only thing i missed was a full english breaskfast. No bacon, no mushrooms and no grilled tomatoes. Everytthing else was spot on. 18. August 2014

Rated 5,0 out of 5,0 by Great service from staff, one concern over breakfast choices What a wonderful greeting on arrival - I checked in early without a problem (I had to leave for a day out at midday). The front desk staff were superb. The only concern I had was that most if not all of the breakfast choices seem to have too much sugar in them - the muesli was sweetened, the apple juice seems the same and the croissants were as well. At home I try to buy cereals etc with no added sugar and have done for years, so I guess I assume that this would be the same when choosing breakfast, but of course I get caught out and tuck into over sweet muesli! Not a major gripe and I'm sure one that can be fixed quite easily and it certainly did not detract from my positive experience of the hotel. Thanks again to all at the hotel. 14. August 2014
