Rated 5,0 out of 5,0 by Nice quiet location I had booked two rooms next to each other it allowed for families as there was a connecting door in between so could check on kids easily. Breakfast was excellent toast white or brown, cereals etc. Nice parking facility but there is a charge of £1 for each time you exit by car. You get a ticket from the machine when you enter the car park then on exit you give your ticket and your pound to Reception and then use the ticket to put into machine too lift barriers. There is a lake next to car park with ducks and swans, very relaxing tone. The car park is shared with the Snowdome building which is about 5 minute walk from Holiday Inn. 17. August 2014
Rated 5,0 out of 5,0 by Recommended Clean bright hotel with friendly and efficient staff. Although parking can be a bit of a faf - you have to remember to have your ticket validated in the hotel before you leave, I would recommend this hotel for those having a stay in Tamworth. 14. August 2014

My first experience of the express version I am pleased we experienced the Tamworth venue first. Chester south leaves updating badly. 12. August 2014
Rated 5,0 out of 5,0 by Another comfortable night This is one of the best budget hotels I've stayed in. Location is great - a few minutes from the M6 toll road yet overlooking a lake. Rooms are clean, comfortable and well furnished and the public areas likewise. The staff were excellent. As it was a Friday there was no evening meal available but the hotel has various menus available from local takeaways. However we opted for a posh M and S picnic in our room with a bottle of wine. Just as good an option. My only slight quibble would be that breakfast was nothing special but it was certainly adequate for our needs, Overall a good place for an overnight and excellent value for money. 11. August 2014

Rated 5,0 out of 5,0 by Great value hotel ideal for families Stayed two nights at this hotel in Tamworth, first visit. Nice clean modern hotel staff friendly plenty parking spaces available. Good quality breakfast brands for the price we paid and tickets for sittings the second morning due to hotel being full which all ran smoothly. breakfast area doubles as the bar area in the evening.Two things i was very impressed with are the microwave facilities and ice machine in the reception area. We were able to order a takeaway to be delivered one evening when the kids were shattered and eat either in our rooms or down in the breakfast area. (plates cutlery provided by the hotel!) never experienced that before always felt like we have had to sneak food back to rooms in other budget hotels! The second thing to mention which was fantastic was that when the lights turned out there was a gentle blue glow from a light in the bathroom. this enabled a good nights sleep as the kids normally like the bathroom light on to see get up to the toilet but it keeps me awake and uses a lot electric.. The hotel is Ideally situated next to snowdome were the kids went into the snow play, ice skating and we used the pool and fun flume session. coffee chain and restaurant and bar inside too. There is a flyover at the back of the hotel which gives access to a lovely park and further on into the castle and town centre which we used also before entering the park to your left is a bowling centre food chain arcades etc were we spent an evening. from the front of the snowdome there is a small wooden bridge if you cross over this and follow the paths towards the main roads this also bring u into the town via cinema restaurants and supermarkets which we used all of. we only used the car to get there and on the way back home! (£1 for the meter for the car park) we purchsed tickets from the hotel for drayton manor and saved money... would recommend highly was the cheapest budget hotel we have stayed in and ticked all the boxes for our family. two adults 6yr old and a 10yr old... if the kids bit older could be a squeeze in the room but its all part of the fun! 9. Rated 2,0 out of 5,0 by Disappointing stay Normally had good experiences with this chain but this time was a disappointment. I booked a stay over a couple of nights for myself & friends, due to a varying number of guests/rooms over the stay I called to make booking, so I could explain. After a little difficulty I got it booked correctly, or so I believed. On the first night we returned at 1am & opened the sofa bed to find there were no sheets to make it. Tried to call to reception & the phone was broken. After a trip down to the front desk someone eventually brought a set of sheets up, which we then made the bed with. The next day one room was going from 2 guests to 3, so I asked in the morning about sheets, to save having the same problem. I was then told the room had a broken sofa bed so could not take 3. I was also told it was because the room was only booked for 2, but I knew this was incorrect as I had been charged for the extra person! We then had to delay going out for the day while they prepared another room, on another floor, then move all our belongings. As I checked out the next morning I mentioned these problems to the man behind the desk. I got a slight attitude of its not our fault, even though i fully explained the full scenario when I booked, & was charged for the correct arrangements! The lady that had sorted out the rooms the day before actually said that the room was booked how it should have been. Which I took to mean that the guy who originally checked us in hadn't picked this up. I'm not unreasonable & understand that the booking was a bit confusing, however I went to lengths to clarify this to the hotel & didn't appreciate essentially being told all the problems were down to it being an unusual booking. It felt like a very corporate attitude, completely lacking the personal touch! 5. August 2014
Rated 4,0 out of 5,0 by Good hotel Good hotel, however not welcomed as rewards member and staff member had difficulty finding my details on the system with more experienced staff watching him struggle but not offering to help. Paying for car park annoying. Location fantastic near lots of amenities. 5. August 2014
