Rated 2,0 out of 5,0 by Disappointment Chose this property because we like Holiday Inn Express Hotels and for its convenient location. Room was small, double beds not queens, staff lacking customer service skills and the room reeked of maple syrup odor. Complained immediately to front desk and was informed that they use a freshening spray after the room is cleaned. That could not be true! If any hotel used this odor in every room, the hotel would go out of business. We opened our door into the hallway and turned air conditioning on full blast. That helped, but every time we re-entered the room the odor was overwhelming. Checked with other guests and no one else had that odor in their room. The hotel was completely full and we arrived late in the evening so we stayed. Every time we approached the front desk, staff was sitting at a side sort of nook area doing something on a computer device. Felt like we were disturbing their personal time. Hotel was clean, landscaping was attractive. Granddaughter enjoyed the heated pool. However, I will not use this property again. 22. Januar 2015
Rated 2,0 out of 5,0 by Wrong room rate Room was fine, but it is unacceptable to book a room for a specific rate and be charged otherwise. As a former Holiday Inn Employee, I am disappointed that customer service is not a top priority at this hotel. I thought addressing the incorrect room rate on the day I checked out would fix it. It did not. Customer Service should be more important than this. If a customer is told they will be called back, they should be called back same day, or at least left a message that the hotel is working on a solution. I request a speedy refund for the incorrect charges. Thank you. 21. Januar 2015
Rated 3,0 out of 5,0 by Holiday Inn Venice Overall a good property, nice and comfy beds and pillows, room was clean as was the bathroom. Only downside was barking dog in neighboring room. Also, no offer of discount for vendors attending an art show in the city. 21. Januar 2015

My only negative comment was that the bed was too soft for me - quite "squishy" when you sat on the edge and just overall not firm enough. Otherwise, enjoyed my stay and would recommend this location and hotel. 20. Januar 2015
Rated 3,0 out of 5,0 by Housekeeping service An envelope was left both days by the housekeeper, expecting a tip . On this trip I used 3 other hotel chains and none of the others had this practice of leaving a tip request envelope. I found it offensive. 20. Januar 2015
Rated 4,0 out of 5,0 by A Great Place to stay I stayed 5 nights. The room and linens were clean and fresh. The staff was very professit and accommodating. I stayed in an accessible room that allowed movement in a wheelchair. The breakfast bar was diverse and all things fresh and tended to by a staffer. The overall experience was great although there were some problems with the Wifi system which I was told was being addresses.. This was my first extended stay but I give the hotel a strong positive rating. 18. Januar 2015

Rated 3,0 out of 5,0 by Staff Was Excellent Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. However, our room on the 4th floor had not been cleaned so we accepted a room on the first floor at a discounted rate. We immediately noticed an unpleasant odor in the room and the carpet was stained and dirty. We also did not realize that dogs were allowed and heard brief barking on both nights. The complimentary breakfast was really great. When we tried to leave a tip, we were informed that no tip jar was allowed. Overall the experience was not bad but we would prefer to stay on another floor without the dogs and odor. 7. Januar 2015
