Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great place to stay in Anderson This was our first time to stay in a Holiday Inn Express and it was a great experience from check-in to check-out. The front desk clerk was very accommodating. The young man on night duty offered to make us cookies and was very friendly. My husband had teasingly asked him where the cookies were when he made this offer. We really did not want any. The room was nicely furnished with everything we needed although we could hear noise in the hall easily. Unfortunately the shower curtain did not work well for us and water leaked out. Maybe we needed to put both parts inside the tub. I was amazed at the selection of food available for breakfast. The eggs did run out before my husband got any but probably we could have asked and gotten some. We just did not have time to do it. Checkout was a breeze. Overall this was an excellent experience. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fast check in I walked in looking for a room during a business trip around 10pm. There was a college event going on and only three rooms left. I was very tired and the gentlemen at the desk was courteous and fast. He asked if there were any discounts I might qualify for. I mentioned USAA and he said he would see what he could do. I was sure he said it would bring the price of the room down. He gave me my card and I signed without looking at the final price. I received my receipt in the morning, shoved it in my bag and left without looking at it. Only when I was doing my travel expenses did I notice that I paid full price for the room. I wish I had looked closer at the receipt but I was exhausted from travel and distracted by the crowd in the lobby. Great stay and very impressed with the rooms but a little pricey for business.
