We stayed at the Holiday Inn in Arras which is close to the town centre (10 minute walk) with convenient parking underneath for our visit to the Somme Battlefields and find it most convenient hence our 4th visit to this hotel.

Good simple buffet breakfast with croisants, cheese, meat, cereals, etc. Staff reallly helpfull. A good base also for exploring the WW1 battlefields and memorials.

Pleasantly surprised by extra large room allocated on 4th floor with twice the space of usual Holiday Inn Express rooms. Standard of rooms up to the usual level and staff really pleasant and helpful.

This was an overnight stay whilst we were on a family trip to commemorate lost loved ones in the Great War.
The Holiday Inn Express, Arras provided an excellent base for all of us. It provided us with a good night's sleep, friendly atmosphere, good breakfast and a central location for our activities.

This is an extraordinary site, so close to a station where British troops twice de-trained to go to war. It's a homely hotel, with friendly staff and filling breakfasts, and its location could hardly be better: just round the block from the underground car park and you're on the road to a range of sites, local and not-so-local. For the battlefield traveller, this place makes good sense, and if you simply want to hole up in the locale, ditto.
No major drawbacks: the rooms are very comfortable, but the general decor could do with some attention: things like the odd bathroom tile and the colour scheme need a makeover. But for proximity to the town centre and to the routes in and out of town, it is difficult to beat. And if you tire of the area and have to escape to Paris, the railway will get you there in around 50 minutes - and back before midnight if you don't want to turn into a pumpkin. Defintely worth investigating.
