The staff is exceptional - helpful, friendly and you can tell they are there for you! They exuded Southern Hospitality to it's finest and this includes the breakfast staff as well. The manager, Vira, has put together a great group of people that really want to make your stay a pleasant one from the time you step onto the property! ENJOY! 09 April 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Overall an Excellent Stay The afternoon staff on Wednesday (3/26) could have been a little nicer. Short answers, and couldn't explain why he needed an extra $200 for incidentals. For a hotel with breakfast included, that is a lot of incidentals. The room was very nice and clean. The bathroom was very small but useable. The housekeeping staff was excellent. Overall it's a little dated, but it's close to everything and well maintained. The Landmark Diner (60 Luckie St) is close and had excellent food and service. 31 March 2014

The staff was so congenial and caring from the first step in the door until we left! Desk staff was so efficient, knowledgeable and concerned, especially with my 76 yr old parents! That, for me, was so comforting! The Valet staff was so courteous and quick! The Housekeeping staff was very friendly and always available! I can't say enough about the staff! They were all so wonderful! The hotel had a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere, but mainly it felt 'safe'! The location is central for so many locations which makes it perfect!!! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Attended Conference Great location, close to convention center, and major attractions like Coke World. A short 2 block walk from the MARTA, $5 round trip from the airport. Internet worked good. Breakfast was good but could have used cream gravy for the biscuits. Pancakes were great. 10 March 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Staff was extremely polite. While I cannot give the highest rating for the size of the room, the friendliness and help of the staff more than made up for that. Waiting for my son to pick me up, I had the chance to observe how the staff worked with other guest ensuring their needs were met. The valet(s) were prompt with retrieving my car the several times I used it as well as opening my doors, ensuring everything was inside my vehicle, and that I had cleared the space before they moved my car. I would recommend this hotel to others visiting in the Atlanta area. 28 February 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Additional Costs The tax and parking cost added more than I care to pay. I will find another place to stay if we return. The Monster Energy show was awful compared to last year. Due to the poor show and the Ga Dome staff poorly handling the fight in our section we will not likely return next year. 27 February 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Good employees but Horrible Hotel I absolutely do not recommend this hotel on the pictures the rooms look bigger but they are really really small I mean you can't even Walk the rooms and hallways smells funny and the noise is crazy you can hear everybody else walking in the hall in their rooms watching TV laughing, you can even hear clearly their conversations I will never stay in this hotel and the worst part is when I book it I am sure I paid for my room and taxes and when I arrived they charge $200 more in city and state taxes supposedly they were not add it to the total they have me when I book the room online. 05 January 2014

The entire staff met us with smiling faces, they went above and beyond to accommodate our every need. It's a great location, has everything you could possibly want for breakfast. If you're looking for a large spacious room(ours was two doubles), you may be a little disappointed. I can promise you won't be disappointed with anything else. 01 January 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great location and service. The Hotel is located in the downtown area of Atlanta, which by contrast to the city centres of other US cities is a pleasant and safe area. The area is patrolled night and day by the city police and by the "Ambassadors", a sort of volonteers willing to help you with any kind of information. Moreover, the hotel is at walking distance from the most important attractions of the city (I would recommend the CNN tour). It is also close (5 min) to a metro station, which can lead you to the airport in 15 min (pay attention, the airport metro station is at the domestic terminal; to get to the international terminals, which are quite fare away, there is a shuttle). There is not a restaurant inside the hotel, but there is an excellent steackhouse at just one block. On the corner, there is a small family owned shop where you can buy drink and food to take away or to eat in place, which is definitely better than the fast foods around downtown. The hotel has not frills, but rooms are very clean, quiet, well furnished, with all you need. My room was actually a little suite, with a coffee machine (complimentary tea and coffee), a fridge, a microwave oven and a iron. WiFi is included (and works fine!). The bed was comfortable. Breakfast again has no frills (the choice of food is somewhat limited) but the quality of food (and of coffee) is over the average. Last but foremost, all the personel is exquisitely gentle. I stayed 7 nights and I felt at home. 30 December 2013

The staff at this Holiday Inn Express Downtown hotel was very rewarding and helpful when needed. I'm a breakfast freak, and to have that hot breakfast that really starts my day in the morning. The hotel room was very clean, just in looking in the corners etc. very nice stay... it will even be more better once the streetcars system is running. Will I visit again... Yes! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Location This motel is in a great location in downtown Atlanta and the staff was friendly and very helpful! We went to Atlanta to visit the Christmas Lights at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. After checking in to the hotel we relaxed in our comfortable room and then drove the approximate 10 min. to the gardens. The lights were well worth the trip and we had a wonderful time. When we returned to the hotel we were greeted at the curb and left our car. We walked to Ted's which was only a block away and had a excellent meal. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting downtown Atlanta. 08 December 2013

Even one of them spoke Spanish. The room was cozy and the service was good. The location is great; it was close to all the downtown places I wanted to visit. Everything else about this place is good or better. The highlight for me was the extremely helpful and friendly valet. On the day of my arrival, all streets to the hotel were blocked off for construction, and he kindly walked with me to my car in a nearby lot and guided me the wrong way down a one-way street to reach him. Advance warning from the hotel would have seemed to be in order, but he valet made up for it. 18 November 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very well situated, helpful staff I stayed at this hotel for a convention, and it's just far enough off the beaten path to be quiet and inexpensive, but close enough that you're within easy walking distance of the heart of downtown Atlanta. We had some Atlanta-like issues (stolen car), and the hotel staff were very helpful and accommodating in extending our stay past regular checkout and calling a cab so we could get a rental car. They handled an uncommon occurrence very well, and were gracious hosts throughout the entire stay! 13 November 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Enjoyed stay until... My wife and I were impressed with the different personality of our room, different than most we have experienced. Our visit was very favorable till we encountered the breakfast. It was not that it was that bad, but compared to other Holiday Inn Expresses this particular breakfast was definitely lacking. It offered no bacon or sausage and was just not as well presented or enjoyed. Sorry was disappointed. 10 November 2013

Everyone was exceptionally nice to us during our stay, but not only that, if was obviously that they enjoyed their job and working with each other. We were there for a NACS show so the hotel was sold out and the area was full of people but you would never know it with the wonderful service we received. Everyone from the front desk, the breakfast staff and the valets were great. If I ever get to Atlanta again, I would definitely stay here. 30 October 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Glad I Found This I have to come to downtown Atlanta on business periodically. Have stayed in other IHG hotels in the area, but haven't been thrilled with them for various reasons. As a gold Priority Club member, I was given a corner room....a suite....which was a nice surprise. It was very clean, except for a stain on the bedspread. I was on the 9th floor so it was free of traffic noise, although the ferris wheel could be heard when all else was quiet in the room. I used the valet parking, but will self-park in the future since I learned that the parking deck was just adjacent from the hotel. Breakfast left a little to be desired, but was certainly better than a "continental" breakfast. A coworker of mine stayed here on the same night and we were were able to easily walk to a nearby restaurant, so the location was great for us. 28 October 2013
