Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Watch your quoted rate We stayed at this hotel for a business weekend and were quoted a specific rate which was on the confirmation sheet. Upon arrival they tried to get me to sign a sheet with a higher rate, saying that the rate we were quoted was an "average rate". I have never had a confirmation from a hotel in my 35 years of traveling that changes based on "averages" from what you are confirmed. It took at least 2 visits per day to the front desk to get this issue resolved. Each visit was at least a half hour, usually more. We even got locked out of our room one night because we had not signed the paper for the higher rate. If not for this complete hassle, this hotel would have been acceptable. Most of the front desk staff was as helpful as they could be. I just don't know why it was so hard for them to straighten this out. There is no air conditioning in the elevators or hallways and the room air conditioners cut off once they get to a certain temp. Makes for a pretty hot stay in July in Atlanta. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. 28 July 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Staff and Service The staff made you feel very welcome, and were very accommodating the rooms were very clean and beds comfortable, Only downside of the stay was the parking, garage about 2 blocks away and wouldn't go there alone, but they do have valet, overall I would stay there again when I go back to Atlanta 27 July 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not Up to Par This hotel is not up to par with the several Holiday Inn and IHG properties I've stayed at. You could tell there was an attempt to renovate an old building, but the overall feel was gross and the place just wasn't what I was expecting. I planned on staying 2 weeks at this place and immediately started looking for another hotel the night I checked in. I was gone the next morning... 26 July 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Room is way too small The staff was very nice and the breakfast was great. But the room was not big enough for 2 beds. No desk or comfortable chair. When you got out of the shower you had to open the bathroom door to have room to dry off. Never knew where our car was parked as there did not seem to be parking at the hotel. I would say the hotel is a place to sleep, but that's about it. It should be a lot lower price than it is. The parking garage was really old and rather creepy. 17 July 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Expect the Unexpected I now wish I had not used my Reward points for this stay. When booking this hotel, I looked at the room choices and saw the Queen room was too small evidenced by the virtual tour so I looked at the double room and it looked much bigger. WRONG! When we arrived, after a very unwelcoming check in by the desk clerk, we got to our room and it was so small. There was little walkway because of the beds, dresser, table and chairs. The beds were extremely small which my partner and I had to sleep separately. The bathroom did not provide you room to do much and no counter space whatsoever. In regards to checking in, the desk clerk appeared to not want to be there and have to deal with customers. I asked what time check out was and he said "its on the wall behind me." Thankfully I did get a thank you for staying with us comment. The following morning, we went to breakfast and had to wait for items to be replenished as there was only one worker going as fast as she could while the other stood there chatting with another worker. When the bacon was brought out, it had so much white grease on the top like it had been sitting for a while. The worker put in in the pan and mixed it up in the bacon. I was not satisfied with this stay and again regret using my rewards points. Will not use this property again. 17 July 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst Experience in this hotel We went to this Holiday Inn Atlanta,GA with kids and aged parents. We notified the staff that we would check-in late. We received a BIG Shock when we went for Check-In as the hotel staff SWAPPED OUR RESERVATION to someone else. I Dont know on what basis, they did that. Ours was for 2 days. None of these : names, type of rooms, # of days, credit card - matched between the 2 passengers. I dont know how the Hotel Staff GAVE our reservation to them. In the night around 11.30 pm, it took 2 hours for them to allott different rooms for us after a discussion with the swapped passengers. Again, in the morning we had to wait for 90 min as they had swapped the reservation in the morning. This is the WORST Stay in hotels for us. If you can avoid , please avoid this hotel 14 July 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Clean The hotel overall was clean and maintained, but the lobby and rooms were very small. There was no counter space in the restroom at all. There were not enough electrical outlets, so I had to unplug the coffee maker to charge my computer and phone and plug the iron into the lamp, which made ironing very cramped, standing between the beds. The mattresses were very firm, and my 6'6" companion's feet hung off the end of the bed. The staff was friendly and helpful, but I didn't feel an issue I had with my bill at the end of my stay was resolved. 11 July 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great stay We stayed over the July 4 weekend and the stay was extremely enjoyable. Staff were attentive. Room was clean and breakfast was extremely good. Even though you were downtown, you felt safe within the hotel. Parking garage was not adjacent to hotel and required either valet parking or a short walk. MARTA was only a two block walk away. 07 July 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good location close to Georgia Tech The hotel decor was good in the lobby and the room was fine. I had a Queen Suite and the closet was not located in the bedroom but in the lounge portion of the room. Not a big deal except having to walk from one room to the other to get to my bag and clothes. Small inconvenience for one night. The elevator carpeting and decor is dated and could use an update. The breakfast was adequate, not as many choices that I'm used to seeing on the breakfast bar but there was variety in the staples. The front desk staff and valet were very professional. I was recognized as a Gold member when I arrived. I told the front desk clerk that I preferred to have the 300 points added to my account instead of the snack bag. I have not seen the credit for the point as of writing this review. 29 June 2014

It was not one of the conference hotels but I found that it was cheaper, offered free breakfast, and was just as conveniently located as the other hotels. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic location! Being that this was my first trip to Atlanta, I had a really difficult time deciding what hotel to choose. I'm glad I chose this hotel! Upon arrival, the front desk personnel (I really wish I could remember her name) immediately asked us where we parked our vehicle. On telling her it was across the street she suggested we move it as the city gives tickets pretty quick so we were thankful for that. She also gave us a nice king size room on the 9th floor which had great views looking towards Centennial Olympic Park. Really loved that room - comfortable bed, air conditioning worked perfectly and you could barely hear all the sounds of the city. The hotel is in walking distance (up to 10 mins) to two MARTA stations and to Centennial Olympic Park and, if you like that sort of thing, the World of Coca Cola. It also offers the typical complimentary breakfast you'd come to expect from HIE. There seems to be an employee there almost all the time checking to ensure there is enough coffee, food, etc. She was very nice and helpful if you need something. My only negative - although we knew in advance that there was a fee for parking, I do find the fact that it's a nightly charge ($20 self or $25 valet) to be a bit much. That aside, it was a great stay and it's definitely at the top of our list when we come back for a Falcons game. 19 June 2014
