Stayed here for one night with hubby. Nice hotel, comfy bed, all clean & tidy. Staff were very friendly & answered any questions that we had.
The only gripe was paying £8 to park your car in the hotel car park. However, we were allowed to leave the car until 4pm the next day so it did end up saving us to park in town.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Gem29 A good hotel to use as a base for sightseeing
Check in was simple but as we had arrived earlier than the 3 pm specified our room was not available but was offered to see if another one was. We declined as we wanted to go off to see Bath. Car parking was charged at £8 per night. A 10 minute walk away from the centre of Bath.
Breakfast was adequate for what we needed - selection of cereals, pastries and hot option of sausage, baked beans and scrambled eggs. Perfect to set you up for a day of sightseeing.
Weather was really hot while there but our room was nice and cool due to the air con which we could control.
This hotel is great to use as a place to sleep and have breakfast. Theres so much to see in Bath why waste more money on paying for a hotel which could offer slightly more but you probably wouldn't use anyway..
Great receptionist who showed us on a map where all the tourist atttractions were.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Cliffe Good affordable accommodation
Booked 3 rooms for 2 adults and child in each. Rooms were clean and fresh with a good 3rd bed for the children. Staff friendly and helpful on arrival. Good location for Bath highlights. Breakfast was slightly limited in choice but what was available was excellent. Well done Holiday Inn Express, Bath.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Ally74 Great location for visiting Bath
The hotel was bright and clean. With a nice 10 walk into the city, so we could relax as soon as we parked the car at the hotel and enjoy all Bath had to offer.

Clean, quiet and comfortable room. Friendly staff and a decent breakfast, but get there early if you can as it can get a bit congested at peak times.
About a 10 minute walk into town but check on directions as I met a few tourists who had got a bit lost! Check out the towpath along the river too, either back into Bath or out towards Bristol. Very peaceful and picturesque. Great for a longer run too!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Capri15 Staff great
Staff were great and very obliging, however, we found that the hotel was not convenient to the city or other services, as a result we did not enjoy our visit to Bath, we found catching buses, walking in the heat not enjoyable at all, once in the city centre it seemed quite lovely but then we had to find our way back to the hotel which seem to take forever, if we returned to Bath I am afraid we would look to accommodation which was more centrally located.

I have stayed here quite a few times now and its a good Express hotel. Always clean, friendly and informative staff. a 20 minute walk to the center of Bath which on a sunny day is ok. But when its raining its a bit too far and it doesn't feel long enough to warrant a taxi. Saying that i have stayed here and will be returning multiple times so it cannot be to far a walk :-)

Took two rooms to overnight before our son's graduation ceremony. Hotel was completely full, but check-in/check-out, easy, and rooms just what we would expect for the money. Thanks for smooth friendly stay. Would be happy to return.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by shrub Uncomfortable bed ruined stay
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately the bed was too hard which made sleeping difficult.
As a Platinum level member of the Priority club I travel a lot, and stay at many different properties. This was the worst experience.
I will not be staying at a Holiday Inn Express again.

Smart and clean hotel with attentive staff and located in an excellent position for exploring Bath.
A little more choice at breakfast would have been appreciated; a few mushrooms, tomatoes and some bacon would have gone down a treat with the usual scrambled eggs, baked beans and sausage.

The Reception staff were very friendly and welcoming. We were given lots of helpful information about the hotel and how to get into Bath on foot. The room was bright, cheerful and comfortable. We had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. We will definitely use this hotel again when we are in the Bath area.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bernadette01 Good Central Location, just 10 minute walk into Bath Centre
Stayed here for a 2nd time when visiting our daughter at the University of Bath. Very good central location, just a 10 minute level walk into Bath. Parking is available at a cost, but is a lot less hassle than finding somewhere to park in the city centre. Staff were very friendly, rooms consistently clean. Would highly recommend. Bath is an expensive place to stay and this represented good value for money for the location. We had paid more to stay in local B&B's that weren't as good. I look forward to returning.

We use this hotel fairly often and have noticed changes over the past years. The rooms are clean with the facilities you would expect of a Holiday Inn. The main change we noticed during this stay was the improvement with the breakfast, much improved but it would be even better if the time could be extended from 9.30 am to 10 am
Car parking has got more expensive but we will stay again

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Julie58 Thanks Holiday INN
We had a rental car mishap and ended up needing a room for just one night on a weekend in Bath, England. Most hotels in Bath require a 2 night stay on the weekend. We were able to get just the one night we needed. Room was clean, shower hot, bed comfortable, and room quiet.

I have to say I was a little skeptical about Holiday Inn when I booked it because the price was so good; I thought that there had to be a catch somewhere. I could not have been more wrong! The minute you step into the hotel lobby you can see that it is well-kept. The staff were friendly and polite - they even let us leave our bags in a safe room because check-in wasn't for 3 hours and we wanted to wander around Bath luggage-free. Wonderful service.
The room itself was fantastic; cosy, spacious, my friend and I were really happy when we saw it. The beds were very comfortable, with crisp clean sheets replaced daily, and plenty of tables, mirrors, etc, so that we could unpack our things and get ready for a night out easily. I have very long hair and the hair dryer worked fine. The shower room was big, bright, and snazzy - was a real treat getting polished up for the evening. Complimentary tea & coffee and a television were a big bonus! Best of all? The room and hotel in general were SPOTLESS! Immaculately clean.
Breakfast was more than decent. Plenty of beverages to choose from, a choice of scrambled eggs and other hot food if you're big on breakfast. But regular pastries and cereal if you want something light. No complaints whatsoever with the food.
We had a lovely stay - everything was perfect and we were really quite sad to leave at the end of our visit. I shall definitely be using this hotel again when I next visit Bath.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by KathynS Problems from the start.
On arriving at 9pm on a saturday night hoping to relax we found only 1 bed had been made up (we had booked for 3 people 5 months earlier!), so had to sit and wait and watch while this was done. Next we all wanted a shower but with only 1 shower towel between 3 it wasn`t pleasant! Finally in the morning we came to go to breakfast, from the 3rd floor to find the lift broken! Not the best stay all round and we will be looking at alternatives for our next girlie visit.

Friendly and professional reception, breakfast room and housekeeping staffs. Clean, quiet and comfortable rooms. Excellent location, free over-night parking.
Delicious hot and cold buffet breakfast a step-up from typical USA Holiday Inn Express selections.
Would recomend this property to anyone.
Upon check-in the hotel staff did not have knowlege of our Priority Club membership.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Merdiff No room at the Inn
Our whole "experience" was tainted by arriving at a time when a large party were being told that there were no rooms available for them. This was compounded by the fact that when we presented ourselves at check-in we too were advised that there was no room available and that alternative arrangements were being made to find us a room in Bristol.............. somewhat pointless as the whole purpose of our trip was to see our daughter at University in Bath. Having booked directly through the Holiday Inn website as a Priority Club Member, and having received emails (and even one on the preceding Friday) that a room was confirmed and available the attitude of the staff for a long time was "tough..... there is nothing we or you can do about it". Wrong Holiday Inn this was your problem and you should have had the situation sorted before our arrival - did you just hope we would not turn up!?!
Eventually we were taken to one side and advised that whilst our originally booked room was not available there was one room left in the hotel, a wheel chair accessible room. As the alternative was a room in an unknown hotel in Bristol we accepted.
Despite a room rate reduction and complimentary refreshments at the bar, the whole hotel stay was a disappointment. The weekend was, however, great fun - mainly due to the fact that we stayed away from the hotel for as long as possible.
The reservation system at the hotel needs to be sorted!!

just OK; kind of an unmemorable experience overall. Thought the cost was a bit high for the quality of building. Downtown is a 15 min walk for a youthful step. Less mobile folks will need to find a different way into the city.
Front desk help was nice, though
