The hotel is in a convenient and quiet location. The room is very clean and the bed is very comfortable. Four pillows to choose from based on my preference. Many nice restaurants are within short walking distance.

Always stay here when possible. Clean, comfortable, pleasant. Decent breakfast. The staff and pleasant and parking is a must in Berkley. We plan to return whenever we travel up to campus.

I enjoyed my vacation and having a good time at this place.
I had a one room with two beds softer ,in a quiet area,the room was so clean ,the bath was so clean,everything was higher than I expected to be.
We had a good breakfast with too may choices for all tastes.

This is a rundown shabby property in a trashy neighborhood. The room rates are insane given that the place appears to have been last updated in the 1980s. Typical California hotel experience: very poor, staff and facility appear to aspire to meet the bare minimum requirements of the brand, but everything is overpriced and there is no value or pride of service. All HIE brand hotels are diminished by the bottom 5 percent ( of which this is one)
