Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Berkeley Stay Overall not a bad experience. It is a very bad neighborhood. Envision drug deals going down in the parking lot or on the sidewalk in front of the hotel. Otherwise, the property is fine, the service staff helpful and kind. The rooms are clean and generally in good shape. 10 April 2015

Staff very nice and was able to check in quickly and knowledgeable about food in the area, getting in at 11pm. Similar to all Holiday Inns. Very nice room and comfortable bed. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pleasant Stay We chose this location to avoid driving in downtown San Francisco. This property is within walking distance of a BART Station so it was perfect for why we chose this location. Not the greatest looking area with minimal restaurants nearby. Front Desk did not recognize us as Platinum Members. They were very helpful in directions to BART. Compared to the neighborhood, this property was really well-maintained and attractive. 11 March 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good hotel Good location. I have been using bus 51B to go from hotel to down town Berkeley. The bus fare is $2.10 in cash and $2.00 in clipper card. So it is good idea to buy a clipper card the first day when you arrive Bekeley. 05 March 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great except for the jackhammer this hotel was a pleasant surprise and a good find located near the relatives I was visiting and walking distance to Fourth Street. The staff was very attentive when I made, then changed, my reservations for several family members and accommodating to my elderly mother. However on our second day here my husband and I went back to the room to relax between about 5 and 6 PM after a long day sightseeing, and it sounded like a jackhammer was coming through the wall. We were told that the tiles in the bathrooms on the floor above were being replaced and that the work would not stop until 6:00. I'm glad that they are making improvements to the rooms, but really? At that hour? We should have been given rooms at the other end of the hall, or the workers should have been sent home earlier. 04 March 2015
