Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pillows Other than the restricted hot menu for breakfast I have always found this Hotel convenient and my first choice for location when visiting the area. Your staff are courteous and helpful and the Hotel facilities adequate although a wider choice of TV channels would be a bonus. I appreciate I am probably a minority customer, but the choice of firm or soft pillows is great but it would also be good if a neck roll was an available choice that the Hotel could provide if requested. 18 January 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Reasonable for a short stay or business visit The hotel location in a relatively calm area provides a good context for a quiet and relaxing sleep after a working day, if you are there for business, and it can be also relaxing if you are there for leisure. There is a recreation and shopping area within a short walk to spare a bus-ride to the city centre. The personnel are excellent but there is nothing exciting about the rooms or the furniture. Overall, price-quality equation is positive. 13 January 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by No Eggs at breakfast We always stay at this Hotel when in Bristol as it is very convenient but we were very disappointed the last time we stayed the hot choice is quite small normally only sausages, eggs and baked beans not really what you would call a hot breakfast but given that its included in the price we have learnt to except this and make do, but imagine our disapointment when we arrived for breakfast on this stay only to discover no eggs and were told sorry but bad luck they had not run out as we were first down for breakfast they simply didnt have any and had not put anything else on in its place so the hot option was now down to sausages and baked beans!!! I work in catering and would not have the cheek to serve nothing in their place and as there are several large supermarkets in the area there really was no excuse an alternative should have been provided as eggs are advertized as being part of the breakfast choice. 13 January 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Another great stay My friend and I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past 12 months and always have a lovely stay. The rooms are clean with a lovely bathroom and staff are always very helpful if you need anything. The hotel is well placed to visit Bristol and has several nice pubs and restaurants very close by, and also has a retail park opposite which is handy if you need some last minute shopping. Would def stay again and highly recommend this hotel. 13 January 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable stay once you find the entrance! My husband and I spent five nights here over Christmas 2014. Our room was spotlessly clean and the bed comfortable. Plenty of hot water and good shower pressure. Staff were friendly and helpful, in particular the manager, Helen, and a delightful breakfast waitress called Hannah, who always went the extra mile and whose courtesy and genuine friendliness were a high point in the mornings. Wifi worked well and the TV reception was good. Only two little niggles .... firstly finding the entrance to the hotel from the main road (a trip round part of the Abbey Wood MOD complex) and avoiding the entrance to the actual MOD site and turning right to the Foxes Den (?) pub AND the depth of the units in the breakfast area. I found it quite hard to access napkins, butter and jams because the stretch required is more than I would have liked ... I would think that the design for this area is standardised throughout HIE and therefore could not be modified, but it would pose a problem for children, and older folk, or simply those of us without long arms and long enough legs to make a good swoop on the foodstuffs from above! A great stay, and I would be delighted to return ... if they'll have me after the comment on access to the butter pats! 12 January 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good value for money. We last stayed here about 15 months ago and i did not think much of the quality of the breakfast. This time it was much better. There were crispy croissants and good yoghurt as well as the usual breakfast staples. 07 January 2015
