The hotel is in a pretty easy to reach location, but sign posting could be better as you reach the end of the cul de sac before you realise you're there! For me the room quality seemed relatively poor. There being a railway line right outside my room was quite disconcerting but to be fair, the noise was well kept out by the windows. I think for the price, I expected better.

Bed Room And staff great every thing else spoit the stay. The Red Lion lacked the ability to deal with wedding parties and hotel guests.

Breakfast: no gluten-free not even porridge, cooked meals poor range and quality; bathroom: no heated towel rail or hooks for clothes, soap dispenser difficult to use and poor quality, no shampoo; room: no drawers and noisy Red Lion Sat night; Red Lion lunch service very slow and wrong order and quality poor, their dinner was better; outside: sign for hotel not lit at night and in day time difficult to see as set back too far.
Had we not had a group booking rate I would say it is very much overpriced for what you get.
Too far out for Cambridge.
