THE STAFF WAS COURTEOUS AT CHECK IN AND WAS ACCOMODATING WITH A LATE CHECK OUT REQUEST/ THAT MADE MY DAY AS I HAD AN APPOINTMENT IN THE MORNING AND WOULD RETURN A LITTTLE AFTER THE 11 AM CHECKOUT TIME AND DID NOT WISH TO LUG LUGGAGE AROUND. SO THANK YOU FOR MEETING MY NEEDS. AS USUAL CLEANLINESS AND COMFORT WAS THEIR TRADEMARK/ 11 December 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice bed but unreliable shuttle due in part to front desk staff I was split on whether to recommend this property. It has some good points so I went with a yes but it is qualified. It is on the low end as far as price for the D C metro area so that is good and it is very clean and I did feel safe up this street with very little there but for a few other hotels. No place in area to shop or dine at other than a gas station mini mart, FYI. Anyhow - nice bed, good breakfast and the staff for the breakfast was friendly and helfpful. However, can't say same for front desk staff. Some yes, some not at all. Not recognized for elite status or given amenity at check-in but the bigger issue is that when I needed shuttle to get to Metro, I was told to go out front - but she never told the guy I needed to go. They don't operate on a schedule, so unless she tells him, you stand out in the cold. Having missed some pay the previous day when their shuttle was broken and I had to walk to the Metro station, I was really mad that now I was missing some income again for being late because of her mistake/inattention or whatever it was. Finally, tired of waiting, I went back to the desk and asked where the shuttle could be as it had been so long that he should have come back from the Metro many times by now if that's where he was, I found out that the guy out front doing lawn care was also the shuttle driver, but since nobody had called him, he had no idea I was waiting for the shuttle. GRRR. So if you need a shuttle to get to work or are on any kind of schedule, theirs is not a hotel shuttle you can count on being there for you. If you are able to walk 10/15 min., you need to know there are NO signs telling you which way to go once you hit the end of the road at the Metro parking lot. Cars can go turn left or right at that point and it is a huge lot. Took me a while to realize I'd made the wrong call and you need to walk to the RIGHT if you are heading towards the platform which is below ground so you can not see it from the street. And as with many places, they assume you know where it is so first time visitors are out of luck with little or no signage. Television, internet and shower pressure all were fine. Again, it is a clean and safe place to stay at a fair price. But good luck with the front desk and the shuttle. 04 December 2014

The customer service was excellent, the facility was very clean in all areas, lobby, outside, room, hallways, room and bathroom, linens. The staff was very attentive to our needs. It was quiet and we had a feeling of being in a safe location. We will definitely stay again. 01 December 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great hotel I was very impressed with this hotel, and found almost everything to be excellent. The only negative was that there was a lot of confusion over the shuttle, when it ran and whether or not it could be requested for a particular time. At one point, I asked, "Is there a shuttle leaving at X time," and was assured that yes, there was. When I arrived for that shuttle, I was informed, "No, there's no shuttle." Another time, I requested a pickup at a particular time, and when I called 10 minutes after that time, I was told, "It's leaving soon" (to come get me). Other than the shuttle confusion, it was a great stay, and I still highly recommend it. 26 November 2014
