Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Short stay only Arrived around eight, quick meal and then up at 4am for work. Staff were friendly and helpful. Meal was a microwaved lasagne - usual fayre for H I Express. I did sleep and chatted to a friendly night ported in the early hours while waiting for my taxi. 14 September 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Short Break We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. We have stayed here before and because of street noise at night, ask for an internal room. We do not care for air conditioning and so have to have a window open for air, so notice things like traffic noise and overloud revellers. The room is good and everything works well. We noticed this time that the breakfast choice had changed, particularly the hot food which had less of a choice and we did notice that the scrambled egg seemed overdry. It is a great shame that the choice of items in the cooked section has been reduced, as we found the breakfasts so good. Also noticed the price for the room had increased, which is a great pity, since we like the central location of this hotel, but might consider another hotel next time. 10 September 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Ok Stayed with my partner September 2014, just stopped over for one night as I was running the Cheltenham Half Marathon the next morning. The hotel lobby and lounge were very pleasant on arrival; nice and modern and fresh. The staff who greeted us were very friendly and welcoming. They explained everything we needed to know for our stay such as how to find the room, details of the hotel and surrounding area, instructions for using the wifi, checking out times etc. Top marks for staff and customer service. The room was clean and well presented upon arrival, all fixtures and fittings working in great condition and the bathroom very clean and pleasant. Regardless of the service, cleanliness and general feel of the hotel being spot on, I was there for the sole purpose of a good nights sleep in an ideal location for my next day's activity. This is where I feel Holiday Inn Express did not live up to my expectations, and let down the overall experience despite the rest of it being of a good standard. Me and my partner found the sofa in the room quite uncomfortable, offering not a lot of back and neck support. Also I had a bit if a rough nights sleep as I found the bed uncomfortable, and didn't feel there was enough choice in the pillow department. I will stay somewhere else next time where a good nights sleep is guaranteed. 10 September 2014

Great value Have satyed a few times in Cheltenham, we felt very relaxed here, Though the rooms are not very big, they are comfotable and clean and of good value with breakfast included. The staff, both at check in counters or serving in the restaurant, they are all very friendly. I have the habit of eating my cereal with warm milk, after the first day, the server heated it for me on his own initiative the following days. Will surely reccomend to friends. 10 September 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by weekend break we stayed at this hotel because we went to the all your life spa which was just around the corner. this hotel is in a very good position for the food outlets and the city center. we used this hotel last year for the same reason and hope to use it again next year. 06 September 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by DO NOT USE SOFABED The sofa which turned into a sofa bed for a third person was uncomfortable. The folds of the bed were wide and the bed was uneven, and very uncomfortable for sleeping. When opened, the sofa bed did not leave any room left. You can't even put a chair anywhere. 03 September 2014
