Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by They do a good job here... I have been staying at this hotel every time I visit Chicago for business. A couple times per month since March and I can't say anything bad about this hotel. It's clean, organized and staff is nothing but friendly and helpful. The things they don't have control over like size of rooms in this historic hotel - they've found a way to work-around. The location is as good as it gets. More of a quaint setting than others I think and the proximity to restaurant and attractions makes it ideal. For someone sight seeing in Chicago I think it would be hard to beat for the dollar value. 23 December 2014

From friendly knowledgeable staff to comfortable accomadations, they never fail to meet my expectations. For shoppers, this hotel is in an excellent locations with fablous stores and resturants. Small, but very well located, Some limited amenities, but adequate for most purposes and quite a nice mix of contemporary and art-deco style decor to give a nice impression. Small, but well located in the trendy North River section of downtown Chicago, makes this a great place to stay at a great value. In this 90-year-old hotel, my room was on the small side, but very comfortable and updated several years ago with modern fixtures in an art-deco style. Limited amenities can be expected since the hotel is small. Parking in downtown Chicago is expensive whether you self park or use valet, so be prepared. The breakfast options were more than adequate and with an adjoining room, more than enough space to enjoy your start to the day. From arrival to departure, the staff could not have been more pleasant. Clean and tidy surroundings with friendly, helpful staff everywhere, made my stay very enjoyable! 18 December 2014
