My business partner and myself checked in on Wednesday evening after a long drive from South Bend, Indiana. We were greeted by a welcome desk agent and big smile. Elizabeth was just wonderful - cheerful, willing to do anything we needed to make our stay comfortable and very friendly and welcoming. And it wasn't only us. We saw her greet and check in several other guests in the same genuine, warm fashion.
Whatever you are paying her, she is well worth it and more.

I'd say I'm always happy with HIE, but this time surprisingly the counter staffs didn't recognize my platinum status, it's doesn't really that matter, but I was just expecting 500 amenity point tho.

The shuttle driver asks you what hotel. You say Holiday Inn and they don't tell you within the same complex there is more than one, so they drop you at the wrong hotel. You have to double tip because you have to wait for the next shuttle. But of course they tell you as a woman you can walk and carry your own luggage in the rain about 1/4 mile if you don't want to wait. Then you finally get to the right hotel, get settled and schedule a wake up call. The wake up call does not come. You almost miss a flight and the answer from the front desk person is "Oh yeah, the guy last night told me he wrote it down on a "Sticky Note" and lost it and couldn't remember the room number" Here is $20 off your room - small compensation for the stress of missing a flight. Luckily we made it. The rooms are grossly over priced for the 2 room suite. Small and other hotels who would charge this high rate would give you a much better value. There are lots of hotels in this complex...about 5 to 7 - they all share a shuttle so you won't get to your hotel without 4 or 5 stops unless you are one of the first ones. - shop around there is probably better hotels who will remember to wake you up

We booked this room to avoid having to get up at 3am to make a flight out of Midway. Took advantage of the park and fly option - cheaper than parking at Midway for the week. Hotel was nice and clean, room was nice, staff was great. Only complaint was that they only had 1 luggage cart that wasn't returned. The front desk person went out of her way to find it for us, but it was broken and hard to use.

Hotel was average, very easy to here things from other rooms. Lacking microwaves and fridges in the rooms.Besides that the staff was very nice and the hotel itself was clean
