The room was awesome, the staff was accommodating and professional. The fitness room was nice with good quality equipment that is well maintained. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Chicago Midway Holiday Inn Express Jan 2014 One point I'd mention is that without on-site laundry, and with time constraints of travel plans, I had to take my laundry to another local hotel. That said, I was able to do so because the desk staff suggested it and arranged it for me (thank you again). Also, the "business center" is quite small, and while I never had to wait to access a PC or the printer, it's located in a high traffic / noisy area in / just off of the lobby The room is small, so closing the door for short periods kept the noise down, but I had to open it often as the room got too hot after about 10 minutes. 12 January 2014

Heather greeted us with the news that as IHG members she had already upgraded us to a Jacuzzi suite. It may have been snowing and frigid outside, but inside the Holiday Express Midway was as welcoming as Grandmother's House!!!!! Just the best!!!!! 10 January 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 An Oasis Having always had good experience with Holiday Inn, we made a reservation at this hotel next to Midway airport in light of the horrible weather forecast lest we have trouble making our early morning flight. Getting a cab in below zero weather for the trip from our house near downtown Chicago was harrowing, and we were nearly frozen. By the time we arrived at the hotel it seemed like an oasis in an arctic desert. The receptionist was friendly and we were never so happy to be in a warn comfortable room. Before dawn the shuttle took us over to Midway where we found that our flight was cancelled with no chance to get out for the next 3 days. We went home. Our holiday was spent at the Holiday Inn. 09 January 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by My Seattle Trip This hotel was a great solution for my wife and I having to catch a early morning flight out of Midway Airport as we live almost 2 hours west of the airport. We did a Stay/Park/Fly package and because we were gone two weeks this was a fairly good value for us. The front Desk Staff were absolutely pleasant and our shuttle ride to the airport was uneventful. My only negative comment is the heater/air conditioner in our room cycled itself on/off constantly and it made it a bit hard to sleep so we finally turned it off. The room was very nice and the bead was very comfortable for us. 06 January 2014

During Winter Storm Hercules we were allowed a very late checkout since our flight was cancelled and they even got dog bones for our dog since her food was in our bags that were being held at the airport. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Room was great. The close proximity to Midway Airpost was ideal. The hotel facility was top notch. Had an upgraded suite which was a welcome change from a simple room. The hotel was convenient to restaurants and Midway Airport which added to my stay in that I did not have to venture far for a meal or the trip to the airport for a rental car turn in. The front desk clerk was especially helpful in accommodating a request for assistance for obtaining a boarding pass for Southwest Airlines on Thursday evening 12/12/13. Absent her help I would have been at the mercy of an extended line at the airport and less than desirable seating on the return flight to Cleveland, Oh. The single negative comment that I would make was she forgot to record my wake up call requests. That said, the lack of a wake up call did not cause any travel delays or difficulties. The young lady at the front desk was very helpful and extremely courteous. 16 December 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very comfortable room, great location, good breakfast I love staying at the Holiday Inn Express brand because the beds and pillows are so comfortable. This hotel location is very clean and warm. It's located literally right next to Midway and there are plenty of restaurant options within walking distance. The breakfast was a step up from the norm with eggs and pancakes as well as yogurt and fresh fruit. Will definitely stay here again when I am in town. 10 December 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Bad memories Only reason it was memorable was because the room ended up being $15 more expensive than what my receipt quoted me. Not only a state tax but also a community tax?! RIDICULOUS also made it more frustrating to have to hear airplanes every 15 minutes. Don't really want to pay extra for that. Also the people in front of me in line were offered peanuts or doritoes but I was not. I'm usually very pleased with holiday inns, however I definitely wouldn't recommend this one. Cost way too much for what you get. 05 December 2013

But I was staying in the hotel for one night and leaving the next day. Parking should be free for each night that you are checked into the hotel. When I spoke with the front desk about it, I received "We charge everybody for parking." I was not going to argue with them because this is obviously either a franchisee or corporate decision. 04 December 2013

Right off the bat the staff was excellent and the room was great. The hotel is in a great spot with quick and easy access to the downtown area, not to mention plenty of places in the surrounding area to eat. Definitely recommend for anyone looking to stay close and comfortable to Chicago. 27 November 2013

The woman who made my reservation was most helpful despite the fact that I was having trouble hearing her because of background airport noise. She made the reservation and gave me the info so that I could be picked up at the airport when I landed about 12:30 AM. I spent a very restful night at the Holiday Inn Express, Chicago. The staff behind the counter fixed the reservation with no-hassles. Not only that, but when I asked about parking since we would be flying out-of-town for a week, he re-booked out room again with a parking pass and a discounted room package.
