Was down in Doncaster on business for two days last week and again stayed at the hotel, as before the welcome on arrival was warm and friendly and had been allocated a double on the second floor. Room was bright and spotlessly clean and was nice and warm on arrival despite it being extremely cold outside. Had dinner both nights and was really appreciative of being made aware of variations to the menu by the team. Breakfast both mornings were wonderful and is a great way to start the day.

I needed an overnight in Doncaster for a Christmas do at the Keepmoat stadium, and used some Reward points that I'd accumulated from staying at Holiday Inns.
The hotel is well situated for access from the M18, and 5 minutes by car to the Keepmoat Stadium, 7-8 mins to the town centre.
It was the Friday before Christmas - "mad Friday". The reception staff were pleasant and efficient, and "human" in their decent Christmas jumpers, the room clean and suitably equipped with flat screen TV, and some of the Freeview channels.
The breakfast choice is the usual for a Holiday Inn Express -not as comprehensive as a Holiday Inn, but appropriate for a budget overnight stay.
Doncaster's taxi experience differs from what you might expect if you're used to a "big city" automated network service. At check-in, the reception staff were advising the couple in front of me that in view of the increased demand that day, they "couldn't promise to get them a cab" but helpfully offered a typed list of 5 taxi firms, so I was able to book one directly.
