Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Boomerangs This is the Best Holiday Inn in UK that we have stayed.
stayed here many times, efficiently run, ideal for touring and opposite a Park and Ride, couple of eating places mins away.
Only problem we have found is the lift has its problems sometimes, but Hotel does seem to get engineers in promptly.

Perfect for an overnight stay, especially if you have a dog !
Friendly staff , clean room good breakfast. Easy to find.
Pub on site that does good food . Would stay again here.

I have stayed in this hotel a few times.Overall the hotel is good value.
The downside though is the very poor Wi Fi,unable to get a proper connection every day I stayed.
I was given a voucher for a better service but was unable to log in.The staff were unable to help and also the IT helpdesk was useless.
If not rectified i will not stay again as i need wifi in order to work in the evenings.

When I arrived at the hotel the first thing I noticed was the bin in front of the hotel entrance was overflowing with rubbish. On check in, I was told the lift wasn't working and I was put in room 261 of 262!!!! I asked about places to eat locally as it was 20.00 and was told I would be lucky to get into the pub opposite as a coach party who had checked into the hotel were going there to eat, when asking about other places I was told I could have a map!
The internet access in my room was very limited, I informed reception whose response was to offer me a voucher.
The lighting over my bed took over 45 minutes to 'cool' down when I did turn the lights out, resulting in a clanking noise for this length of time.... Breakfast was like a circus, there were no tables available and I had to sit in reception.
On check out when I did mention my stay had not been good, my comments were shrugged off.
To cap it all when I went to leave my car was blocked in by someone delivering food to the hotel.

The friendliest staff from checking in to alround personal service. I spoke to the Deputy Manager to inform her of the excellent staff from front desk to the food staff.
Hotel extremely convenient.
The only comment I have is that there should be better signage to the hotel especially off Honiton Road.

Overall rating for hotel was good.
I was offered 300 additional bonus points or complimentary free drink and snacks. I opted for the latter only then to find out that my wife who was staying did not qualify for the complimentary free drink.
I felt that was a slight mis-understanding in the way reception staff had promoted the offer options. Having been told that the drink was for just one person i swapped over to the bonus points.
Offers should be relayed in a clear manner.
